Kids were almost sleeping, don't seem to care about the business. Talked about there tip before they made sandwich for takeout. Would not go back.

Ribs fell off the bone. So tasty!! Good price. Loved the seasoning on the french fries. Slabs of white bread. Slaw was fun and different.

I give up. They are totally disorganized and have no integrity. I was given a gift certificate for the OffShore BBQ in Seaside Heights NJ. They are closed for the season, so I called the location in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. I explained the I had a Gift Card and ordered a tray of wings for a Block Party. When I went to pick up the wings the counter person called the owner Rich Cline) as this was a little out of normal because at the time it 8was bought they did not have physical gift cards. See the receipt in the attached photos. The owner refused to honor the coupon after being texted a copy of the receipt from the counter person. He claimed that the writing on the rear of the receipt was not his hand writing and refused to honor the card. The counter refused to call him back so I could talk to him. I assume the counterperson that was on duty when the "card" was bought wrote the note, probably when he called the owner to find out how to supply a gift card without having a physical gift card available. I can't review the food, as I have not or never will actually taste it. An email to the owner has gone unanswered. This interaction has left me very disappointing in several ways. The owner did email us back, now he says it is an E certificate. Total Bull. Not sure how he thinks this is even possible. There was nothing related to an E transaction in this process.

Ordered 1 pound of brisket, 1 pound of wings and fries. Apparently, they ran out of brisket, so tried to sub turkey. Weird substitution, for sure. Called and asked to sub ribs. Received 4 ribs. 8 wings and some fries. Wings were cold and undercooked. Chicken meat was pink and a little bloody in a couple places. Inedible. Ribs had tremendous flavor and were fall of the bone tender. Only complaint was temperature. Again, cold. We live a couple miles away, so should have at least been warm by the time we got home. Fries. Not good. To much seasoning, and not fresh. Not hot. Soggy & stale. BBQ sauce. Very tasty. Good flavor. Little sweet but plenty of spice. I had read a lot of reviews and really wanted a good place nearby. Tired of making the trek to Mutiny BBQ in Asbury all the time. But will continue to do so. That said, bummed about the substitution. Bummed that 4 ribs somehow equates to a full pound of boneless brisket. I don't think it does. And bummed that the wings were inedible and undercooked. Fries meh. Just a pass. Responding to the Owner'a Reply. Just to be clear, no one was late for the pick up. The food was ordered and arrived promptly. The wings we're definitely undercooked. I have my own grill and smoker and these wings were not prepared correctly at all. Also, the food was indeed cold. But, it's not a function of being late or slow. Perhaps you should consider checking with your staff before blaming the customer. Normally, I'd let it go. But, I know bbq. And I know when something isn't right; hence, my detailed review, which I stand by.

First time here because Coastal was closed and JS BBQ doesn't quite knock my socks off. Walked in to an empty joint, fans blowing and a somewhat disheveled dining area. The place really did seem deserted, however there were two young people hiding in the shadows on their phones. We placed our order, wiped the crumbs off the cleanest looking table and took a seat. The sauce, two paper plates and plastic cutlery were delivered to us. Our food was then delivered on a tray which I thought was confusing. Why weren't the sandwiches just served on the plates? Anyway, we thought the sandwiches were just ok. Maybe they would have been better if we used the sauce. As you can see though, the sauce dispensers are just repulsive. The fries were undercooked and the drink selection is extremely limited. The only thing worthy of an A plus in my opinion is the music. Considering I was very concerned about food poisoning I barely touched this food and I definitely will not be returning.

Wings were soggy and no flavor. Ribs were decent, but not great for the price. Mac and cheese you're better off with ez Mac from a microwave. Really disappointing ?

I placed an order in advance to be sent to someone's home after a funeral the next day. They accepted the order but never delivered the food. Instead they cancelled without explanation 10 minutes before the food was supposed to be delivered. Sorry but that is shocking mismanagement and totally unacceptable.

A friend of mine once told me you can judge a good BBQ place by it's baked beans. If that's the case this place is AMAZING! They are a bit spicy and you can tell smoked and delicious. As is the smoked Mac n Cheese as well as their Brisket. Highly recommend

Yuck! Out of brisket on a Sat night. Our meat was over cooked to the point where the ribs were inedible. The fried pickles had zero flavor - yes, pickles had no flavor - because they were either old and/or that overcooked. Mac n cheese tasted like cafeteria Mac n cheese. The sauce was watery with little flavor. The only thing that was good were the fries. Highly recommend going across the street to Jersey Shore BBQ if you're looking for BBQ in town. We wanted to try this one since the ratings were just as good but seriously regret the $50.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a complete let down.I came here with a group of people based off of a recommendation by a local pizza shop owner down the street.I should have known something was off when I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was dead while all of the surrounding restaurants were packed. The experience with the staff was amazing. They were very friendly and explained the menu in detail. They were attentive the entire time but not overbearing. The food on the other hand, left much to be desired. I ordered the Turkey sandwich, brisket sandwich, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and sweet tea. Both sandwiches were dry and I had to slather the Turkey in the homemade sauce to give it some life. The Mac and cheese - I don’t really know what to say other than it lacked flavor and there was no cheese pull - at all. The coleslaw was the best part of the meal. The sweet tea tasted like brewed Lipton with a dash of sugar.Overall the experience was not great - the two stars are for the staff and the coleslaw.

Food was great. Ordered half pound of brisket and half pound of pull pork to go and totally enjoyed the meat. However I have an issue with the portion size. When we got home looking at the meats it does not look like I have a pound of food. We put it on the scale and we got about 12 ounces of meat. It could be just a mistake but we are a little disappointed by that.

Empty place on a busy Saturday in the downtown area, however Offshore got good reviews. The menu was a little confusing and the two working had a tone like we should "already know" how they serve things while we were ordering. The food took incredibly long, but we thought it was going to be good. WRONG. I included photos because I would have appreciated someone else posting them so that I knew what not to order. I wouldn't fathom anyone's idea of a grilled cheese being burnt bread on the outside and cold cheese on the inside. Didn't even have the smoked flavor described on the menu. The Mac and Cheese should just be labeled "mac" because it was dried out and tasteless. I also ordered a sandwich, big slices of bread with soggy meat and sauce on the side. Alot of money and we threw everything away. We didn't bother saying anything because we were treated poorly to begin with. Always go to a place that's busy, lesson learned.

This was a very disappointing experience. We came in at around 4pm on a Saturday , to be told multiple times they were out of items. Kinda of weird especially for a weekend night. Our family got brisket, turkey sandwich , chicken wings and Mac and cheese. The brisket was okay but the wings were soggy and soft. It was not a pleasing texture and the Mac and cheese was so bland and dry. Now the cleanliness of the place was also a bit questionable and that included the restrooms. Overall , would not return.

This was one of the worst meals I have ever had. The smoked grilled mozzarella sandwich was burnt to a crisp(how do you burn the bread so bad without melting the cheese?), the only flavoring was burnt bread. I felt as though I was licking someone's dirty backyard grill after not being cleaned all summer. The Mac n cheese tasted like plain pasta, no flavoring what so ever, the paper cup it came in would probably have made a better meal. I am giving 1 star because the Coca Cola was atleast cold and helped wash out the horrible taste left in my mouth after this meal. I don't know what friend I am trying to help as the owner suggests by writing this review, I just wanted to warn others before ingesting this garbage I was served earlier today. I have been wanting to try this establishment for a bit now, I am just happy I went today and didn't have to wait in summer shore traffic to find disappointment.

The brisket grilled cheese was amazing as were the ribs. Worth the price. Highly recommended! The owner was extremely nice! His homemade sauces complimented the meal well.
