Great food, a little pricey as dinner for 2 with a 20% tip came in just under $200 (and we brought our own wine). I had the lobster bisque and the crab cakes entree (more crab than the usual fillers you get). Wife went for the duck confit ravioli appetizer and the lollipop pork chops entree. Nice romantic atmosphere is an upgrade over the old basic Reddington's decor that was there a decade ago.

Why would I give a cheesey diner 5 stars and this fancy place 3 stars? Because I judge based upon genre. A great diner is what it is, and this place is what it is. Having said that, the first thing brought to us was some breaded asparagus. I LOVE restaurant asparagus because I have such a hard time getting it right at home. Imagine my disappointment when their asparagus was stringy and worse than any I ever made. My wife ordered a salad which did not have enough dressing. By the time anyone checked with us (it's important to check that everything came out correctly soon after being served... another thing that was lacking here) she had already finished. For the main course, I ordered the marinated porkchop. It was good, but I expected better for the price. It was accompanied with a few items that looked real good, but were also ok and served cold. I'm old fashioned. When I order a hot dish, I expect it hot. The portion itself was filling, but then again I was swiping my wife's potatoes. She had a better experience ordering the salmon, which she enjoyed.Overall, this place has a good look and feel and nice atmosphere. But at the end of the day, for the cost, I want the food to sing, not hum.I really can't recommend.

This is our 2nd time here for dinner and we absolutely loved it!!!!. It was my birthday so we made reservations for a special evening. My husband had the Veal and I had the Crab Cakes. They were the best I had EVER had!!. The aoli sauce was incredible!! I can't believe how great they were. Our server was Nick and he was exceptional! I have never had such great service. He was beyond amazing!! He came out at the end of our dinner with a candle in a mini bowl of vanilla ice cream for my birthday! So thoughtful!! What a amazing experience and we were so over the moon delighted!! We were to full to eat dessert so we took it to go, tiramisu and rice pudding. My husband's Veal was also delicious and tasty!! Can't wait to go back!!!!.

Excellent service and meal. I have celiac and there are many gluten-free options from starters to desserts. And you can get their soups to go! I highly recommend The Poached Pear!

If you want to experience flavorful fishes created by a chef that knows how to create and present flavor in every dish, this is the place to go. Service is always great and ambience is pleasant as well! We enjoy it every time we go, and hint hint order any fish special on the menu.

My favorite local restaurant for fine dining. A deft hand in the kitchen produces some very good quality food. Both a lobster and lamb shank specials were excellent.

Friendly staff, great food-French onion soup, crab cake, gnocchi & halibut with cheesecake for dessert. Plan to return with others and share more apps since several want to try.

Service was beyond superior. We had Nick as our server and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. I've never had a bad experience here and Nick only made that experience better.

From appetizers to entrees to dessert for six adults was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and personal. We asked to take a nice break between app's and entree and he listened and gave us time to enjoy. We have eaten here many times and it never disappoints

Wonderful meal celebrating my husbands birthday. Excellent service, great menu, food made to order and everything was scrumptious. Well laid out comfortable restaurant. We cannot wait to go back!

I had the pork chop & as I told our waitress, the best I have ever had, juicy & full of flavor. My husband had the tuna & it was cooked perfectly, rare & tender. Portions were plentiful, as well.

I was a little disappointed because I had read so many outstanding reviews. There was nothing bad about the experience but it was just good, not great. My wife and I both said we would go back but would try other places first. The atmosphere was very nice and the people were welcoming! The portions were generous. I had a nice filet cooked perfectly on asparagus and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were tasteless with an almost soupy texture. The french onion soup looked great but was far from the best I ever had. Again, a nice place to stop for a quiet dinner but I am not rushing to go back.

Awesome as usual. We had corn chowder, a mushroom tart appetizer, both excellent. I had their specialty - a huge crab cake topped with meat from half a poached lobster served over spinach and a sort of bowl fashioned from mashed potatoes. Delicious. Washed it down with their orange grand marnier crepe cake - best dessert in NJ by a mile.
