Stopped in on a rainy day and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the rib feast bc for two bucks more why not get the extra! It was beyond great, ribs were hot and fell off the bone. I usually get the Memphis dry rub but today got the sauce and fond my new favorite. I'm picky on bbq sauce and theirs was soooo good, not Smokey or mesquite but flavorful! The meat was plentiful and burnt on some parts yet still moist. The tatter tots were crisp. The Mac and cheese is wet which was nice. The corn bread also tasty! No complaints here, they even gave extra sauce for him! Also had the pickle spears, nice and fresh! My date had the pulled park sandwich was good. I'm not a pulled pork person but the meat was good and bread fresh. Will be back sooner than later! And the waitress was so sweet and welcoming and checked in on us at all the right times! I also learned today you can sit inside as I used to always order pick up.

The Hickory Hog is just okay. I rolled in for a dinner on a Sunday night and it was empty except for one other party. It honestly felt like a liminal space. Staff were friendly.Ordered a plate of chicken tenders as an app and was pretty dissapointed, they seem to just come out of the freezer and closer in texture to a chicken nugget than chicken tenderLOIN which I was expecting. Did not have any of the BBQ but did have the Triple Play Burger which was a pleasant suprise I liked it very much. Ordered it medium and thought it seemed a little overcooked on my first bite just going by color but it was still very moist and tasty.

The tater tots were bland, had no seasoning, and tasted like freezer bag tater tots the ribs and I opened them and it burned my nose. I tried it. It was very vinegary I would never come here again. I never write bad reviews but I couldn’t hold

We had our backyard wedding last week and we chose to go with Hickory Hog in Point Pleasant for the BBQ. As the father of the bride said in his speach "you chose well". The food was Amazing! Our guests from North Carolina were impressed with the quality and flavor (and these people are picky about their BBQ). Maureen, her husband and staff were helpful, kind, and professional. Recently went to a party that was catered by Hickory Hog, and I was pleasantly surprised! I am not a huge fan of bbq food, especially at big parties, but this was delicious. The Mac and cheese was gooey, cheesy, and so savory. The pulled pork and bbq chicken were moist and flavored perfectly. I don't think I have ever had bbq chicken this moist and juicy. As well, the chicken wings were flavored to perfection, crispy, and not dry at all. I highly recommend Hickory Hog for any who enjoy bbq food, or are interested in catering bbq food. Great quality.
