The best barbecue in Point Pleasant. We often order from woodchucks for ribs and wings. The only criticism is their mac & cheese, which needs to be a little bit more cheesy.

This has become our go-to place for BBQ - excellent burgers, sandwiches, pulled meats and fall off the bone ribs. Great prices/value ... and watch out... some of the portion sizes can be overwhelming! They do delivery and pickup but we have dined in on each of our visits and have found the staff to be attentive, friendly and eager to please.Parking: Small but free parking lot. Might be difficult to park at busy times.

Woodchuck's used to deliver juicey, tangy, wet BBQ bone-in chicken. I'm sad to say, not this time. They delivered BBQ chicken that was not even wet; it was so dried out, it looked and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for days. The sweet potato fries were dehydrated and devoid of almost any actual potato meat. When I ended up with a hair in my mouth from the chicken is when I gave up trying to eat the meal and threw the whole thing in the garbage. Maybe it was an off night for some reason, but I will never order from Woodchuck's again.

If you're a BBQ fanatic, there are hits and misses here. They can't use an outdoor smoker due to town regulations, and use an indoor electric smoker... and that's fine. The great thing is they have a wonderful meat supplier right now from what I can tell (we tried a variety of meats a few days ago). We had ribs, pulled pork, and brisket, and all the meat was tender and not fatty. We had dry-rub (no sauce) for the ribs, and that was our favorite. For the BBQ fanatics, don't expect sauces from Memphis, Kansas, Carolinas or Texas styles... you've got two choices. The original sauce is ketchup-based but with spices, and there's the spicier version of that sauce. The pulled pork and brisket we had would have been MUCH better if we got it without sauce (don't know if that's an option). It's a good place with great meat, but they really need different bbq sauce options instead of putting one weird hardly-bbq sauce on their pulled meats. Offer the meat dry, and give sauce options. I really do like this place, but it could go from 'good' to 'magical!'

Woodchucks is a small quick BBQ place in point pleasant NJ! We got the ribs, brisket and a side of potatoes and Mac and cheese! I would def get the ribs and Mac and cheese again! The brisket and potatoes were okay but I'm excited to try the rest of their menu! I heard they have added to their menu and have new items like BBQ bowls!

Have eastern here many times. Last 2 orders were a total disappointment. This was my favorite Bbq place since famous Dave’s closed. Last time chicken skins weren’t good and portion was less. This time pork bbq sandwich the bbq sauce wasn’t good at all. Def not ordering again. Very disappointed!

We tried Woodchucks tonight and the ribs I got were truly some of the best I've ever had!I am kicking myself now because we have lived nearby for years... We will definitely be back soon!
