Overpriced, underseasoned, lazily executed mediocrity. Calamari that is limp, damp, and bland; meatballs that were dried through; tzatziki that is like store bought Greek yogurt with a sprinkling of chopped dill; clumpy kale salad bound together by gloopy dates; gigantes beans in a sauce that needed a couple more hours simmering to cook the carrots and beans sufficiently; hummus like a scoop of chalky, dry ice cream, with less flavor; a spicy feta cheese dip that strangely had neither spiciness nor the taste of feta; and so on. At prices that suggest someone thinks the food is better than what would be found in, say, a Wegman's buffet. The wine was good; it's BYOB.

I was so excited to try this place! This place is well rated and I love Greek food. My husband and I thought the service was fine and the ambiance is cute (but it gets super loud!). However, the food really missed the mark flavor wise and quality wise. The chicken was dry and flavorless and I didn't want to finish my dish despite being hungry. The lemon potatoes were soggy and greasy. The mousaka was dry and also lacking flavor. We feel so lucky to have Kyma as our local Greek place! Heads up parking is tricky on the streets around the restaurant and they also charge an extra fee for using credit cards.

Our daughter wanted Greek food on her birthday. So we ordered food from Local Greek using Grubhub (Grubhub or Doordash do not cover another good local Greek restaurant here). This restaurant is slightly on the expensive side. However, we ordered four dishes and each dish was very tasty. The food also came relatively soon. We would gladly order food from here or do a dine-in in the coming months.

This place is now one of my favorite Greek spots in central New Jersey! Ambiance - warm lighting - tables perfect for large parties - honey and welcoming decor Service - staff was knowledgeable about the menu - food came out quickly Food - Greek spreads: came with a plate filled with warm soft pita and a variety of spreads: tzatziki, spiced feta cheese, hummus, baba ganoush. All of the spreads were delicious and also paired well with the mixed grill platter - Saganaki: this dish also came with a performance! Our waiter dimmed the lights in the room and lit the cheese on fire. The cheese was melt, gooey and had a pleasant sharp flavor - Kipos Salad: the lemony honey dressing was delicious and I especially loved the dried figs in the salad - Mixed grill platter: this was plenty for 6 people! The tzatziki and hot sauce paired well with the gyro and fries

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Local Greek at their Princeton location! I came in on a Saturday night without a reservation and only had to wait 45 minutes, which I thought was pretty good considering the circumstances and they were packed. My partner and I shared an appetizer and an entree which was the perfect size for us! For an app, we ordered the Dolmades! These are grape leaves stuffed with a savory mixture of rice, onions, and herbs offering a delicious blend of flavors and textures. I loved the large scoop of greek yogurt served with it to compliment the savory mix. For an entree, the Lamb Souvlaki is what we ended up deciding to order. It was a large lamb kebab with a Mediterranean salad and fries. The food was awesome and authentic! Each dish you could tell was made with fresh ingredients. My only comment is that the the atmosphere is charming, but loud on a Saturday night. It was a bit hard to hear my partner across the table from me. Overall, I would recommend Local Greek to anyone looking for delicious Greek food served in the Princeton area.

-4.75 -super busy -owner shook our hand as we walked out!! -super friendly staff -food came out quick and was so good -busy atmosphere made it very fun -so much heat between this random man's fire dance moves and the flames from the skillets

After looking at the reviews, I thought this would be a great spot to grab a bite with friends... I was extremely disappointed. Firstly, our cups had leftover food on them, looked to be feta and then a few of our cups smelled like chlorine. We decided not to drink and just waited to see if the food changed our minds. Our hummus had no flavor and our pita bread tasted like it had been frozen before serving. The lamb chops weren't terrible but for the price, we were very disappointed with the portions. The fries were atrocious, the soggiest fries we've ever had and the salad, well it's just a couple of vegetables thrown with olive oil, nothing spectacular. The stuffed peppers were average and so were the skewers. Not sure whether the crowd actually enjoys this food or if they just go for the scenery, since it is a bright place with a lot of happy faces. All together, not worth the price tag unless you love spending your money on flavorless food.

Had a lovely breakfast here with my mom. We stopped by on a Saturday morning and it was very quiet. Their location is a bit away from the main drag, but it is very cute and quaint. Our breakfast was delicious! We got the Tomato Fresco and Gyro Omelette. Both were very generous portions and very flavorful. I hope they pick up more traction for their breakfast, as it was quite empty. We will have to come here again during dinner time.

An interesting restaurant. You bring your own alcohol since they don't serve it. Cesar, the waiter was nice. I had the Greek lamb kofta. It was tasty and the lemon potatoes really stood out.

Service is good-polite and fairly prompt. I always give this place another try and I'm always dissaponted. The ambiance is nice. The food is okay. The prices...woof. $20+ a plate and leaving hungry. My Greek ancestors would be rolling in their graves.

The food was very good and beautifully plated. A bit expensive compared to some other area Greek restaurants but worth it. No bar but you can buy a local winery's offerings by the glass or bottle. I suppose you can bring your own alcohol, but I don't know that for sure. Modem and clean decor and friendly service

The food was good, the wait staff was super friendly and professional. We ordered the appetizer spread, stuffed chicken, moussaka, and lamb kafta. Afterwards we had coffee and shared galaktoboureko. The spread was plenty to share for four and there're a lot of pita bread. All entrees came with salad and a side except miussaka. The galaktobouresko was big enough to let everyone have a bite.

Musty smell inside. Food tastes "stale"Meat is chewy and hard to eat. Service is decent, however overall this place is not worth "the hype".

Good quality food near downtown Princeton. BYOB which is always a win! Small parking lot near the restaurant.

Service was excellent. It is BYOB and they accommodate well with the service. This review is for the last week in August on a Saturday evening.Appetizers:Greek SpreadsCalamariThe Village Salad The entree was the Mixed Grill PlatterWe enjoyed the food and desserts which included their orange cake and a custard filled pastry. The mixed grill was a little off this time. It was a bit dry. I would give them a 3.5 but the rating system is in whole numbers. Am looking forward to returning and trying something new.
