Went there for Shanghai park and XiaoLongBao but it's under a new name and new menu. Ordered some spicy dishes and pleasantly surprised. Good food quality.

Absolutely delicious food in the past several times we have dined here with my family - all the dishes with meet, seafood, vegetarian were ALL delicious! And this curry beef with vegetables in a baked pumpkin was as gorgeous as tasted great- just enough spice to make it unforgettable! We use to drive 40 min away to enjoy Cantonese cousine, and now -Shangahi is our go-to 5 min from home restaurant! Bringing here my friends for girls night out next week!

Some dishes from southern China are good such as the sweet and sour fish. When I am in the Princeton area, I come here for the Chinese food. The restaurant has a room for large groups with round tables and a second dining area for four or fewer people per table. The design allows for a quieter dining atmosphere for smaller tables.Parking: Easy to find a parking place at the Princeton Shopping Center parking lot.

The new owners of Shang Shi, transplants from Los Angeles, are awaiting their new sign to come in. Yang the owner is so down to earth and humble and very approachable. His current staff is super duper nice and awaiting to hire way more people once they start full marketing. The food! That chicken with broccoli and chicken fried rice melted in my mouth and I have enough for 3 meals, yes that much food is given, well worth the money spent! I never loved the food at Shanghai Park, but now I love the food here and will most definitely come back!!!

Went for dinner with my Mom and Sister and the place was completely empty and what appear to be under renovations, as the sign on the door Indicated that they were under new management. We were greeted and escorted to a table quickly. The waiter was polite and the food was brought to our table quickly. While waiting for our food the restaurant became very warm (outside was 95 degrees). We asked the waiter to point the fan that was in the middle of the restaurant towards our table. He was very accommodating, but it was obvious that the AC was not working /on. Half way through our meal another family arrived , and it was clear that the manager was friendly and familiar with them. He immediately turned the fan towards their direction , leaving us without any air. We expressed our dissatisfaction and he was very dismissive and rude. It was very clear that he favored the Asian family at the other table- and not us, Latinas. Will not be back!!

04/23/2022Soup dumplings are still my best choice in NJ. Today also tried some other dishes... Better impression than before. Price is still a bit high if I compare the C/P value...Soup dumplings are very good. The other dishes we ordered were not that much impressive. Price was a bit high.

The worst quality I've ever been. The soup was pure MSG + hot water (not even properly balanced), and dumpling has tiny meat with massive+thick dough. Obviously over priced compared to its quality. This is my second 'one-star' review out of hundreds. The first one was a sea food restaurant that provided rotten crab to my kids, so they got food poisoning.

buyer’s remorse—I dunno I remember first 6 months of pandemic spending 38 bucks for lunch for pickup on boneless spare ribs dumplings and fried rice in little single Chinese take out containers and immediately having buyers remorse over tasteless, tiny food. Barely mediocre

Does Not Even Deserve 1 StarAtrocious bean curd with schezwan sauce. Please be careful with this dish it smells like detergent and even worse the reasturant says it is supposed to smell like that. On top of that their abhorrent service ruined our Christmas Eve. This makes me never want to eat Chinese food again.

We went for dinner and ordered pork soup dumplings (小笼包), some vegetables, Shanghai wontons, and noodles. The pork soup dumplings tasted ok, but the size was only half of the last time I went. The wontons were literally 12 pieces of skins. The seafood noodle soup had no flavor at all, and the scallop tasted terrible! The vegetable dish looked like lunch serving, very small. When we were leaving the waitress even shamelessly asked me why I didn’t tip her 15%. Very bad experience on a holiday break! Will never ever go again!

We went there for Christmas dinner. While they had a seat available, they were super busy, especially with take out. Their country had many bags for take out. They had several wait staff, who all were super efficient, but could barely keep up with the guest. The food was really good, and reasonably priced. They offered tea, but no fried noodles or Fortune Cookies . We'll definitely be back.
