The place is cute and well-decorated. We waited over 45 minutes after ordering for our food, and then the order was incorrect, so had to wait a bit longer for my full meal. Then waited a long time for the check, etc. Ended up spending about 2.5 hrs in there. I appreciated not being rushed, but I went in there extremely hungry and I am a busy medical student, so I did not anticipate spending so long in there.I will say, our server, Caesar, was stellar! very kind, charismatic, and helpful. Chatty when we wanted to chat, and left us alone when that time came, too. Great server.I forgot to take a photo of my food because I was soooooo hungry when I finally got it! Food was delicious and portion sizes were large.

My family and I arrived at the restaurant close to closing, but they were very accommodating . While there were a couple of items that were no longer available, due it being so late, they were absolute sweethearts and recommended delicious options. I have to admit that while I had my heart on the veal, their options were even better. I had the chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes and vegetables which was delicious. Since it’s BYOB, the team made sure that it paired beautifully with my wine. There was a young man, Julian, that went above and beyond to ensure our experience at the restaurant was great since it was so late. There is a parking garage right across the street from the restaurant with the first two hours free (which gave us plenty of time), I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a fresh, romantic ambiance with a decadent dining experience.Parking: The restaurant has parking, but if there are no more spots available, there is on street parking available as well as a parking garage next door. Parking is not an issue at all.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant offers a variety of meals geared towards the pickiest eaters.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant has wheelchair access.

Hate to be villain in this love story.Husband and I decided after a long day of work and a hour commute to have dinner out. We’ve dined at II Forno before and till now, never had an issue.For a Thursday, the dining room was pretty lively but not overwhelming. The host/maître D/server/waiter/manager sat us down and after a few moments took our order. He did not have a pen, paper, or tablet to record our order. Again, we’ve been there before and know he works there full time. To say he was distracted and half listening would be an understatement.We specifically indicated that we’d be ordering appetizers and a person pizza. First, came out meatballs—delicious. Then, to our surprise, TWO personal pizzas. Without touching or breathing over the incorrect personal pizza, we tell the innocent server. He calls over our original jack-of-all trades who then decides to passive aggressively ask us “how everything was”. Unbeknownst to him, both my husband and I speak spanish and overheard the server tell him our order was incorrect. We tell him we wanted the burrata appetizer and not the personal pizza. AGAIN, he passive aggressively giggles “oh you didn’t tell me that but I’ll fix it”. Walks away.Me, a special needs teacher for NYC schools and my husband, an employee of a major NYC hospital just wanted to have a night out. Instead we were met by a catty wannabe boss.Rahway’s small and more and more businesses are moving in. Competition will be hot. Hopefully upper management sees this and have a strong talk with their front facing staff members.
