Last Friday my Daughter made dinner reservations for my Birthday. On her lunch hour she dropped off balloons. We arrived at our reservation time, decided to sit by bar, they had a piano player and have a cocktail. Sat down bartender was behind bar. Two other people were at bar and about 4 tables in that area. We sat there for about 10 minutes bartender NEVER even made eye contact...he never acknowledged us. He was not busy. When I sit down I expect to at least get acknowledged...put two napkins down and say I'll be right with you..NOTHING. So I told me daughter we're out of here...we waited a few more minutes still nothing...I'm not begging someone to serve me a $15.00 drink....I took the balloons off our reserved table and we walked out....NO ONE ever said anything to us.....VERY Disappointing...Service is not what is used to be. Sorry, we won't be back.....Had to find another establishment to serve us.

You can tell much about a restaurant by the owners and Luciano's Italian Restaurant has the most caring. I've been familiar with this establishment since opening 17 years ago and the one thing that remains consistent is great food and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.Great environment for a date night, family gathering, or special occasion with their banquet rooms.

Came here with my boo, first time here and it was a great experience. Lamb chops came a little later than expected but besides that, Nicolas was a great server and made us feel comfortable from the start. Me and my girl will definitely come back and try out the rest of the menu.

For some insight, I am a very picky eater and normally will not return somewhere once a mistake has been made with my food. I’ve also never physically dined in the restaurant even though dining in restaurants is one of my favorite things in the world however, I grab food from here at least once a week. I religiously order my favorite dish, short ribs with seeet potatoes and Brussel sprouts. And like any restaurant, some days the food is better than others. But that goes to say, it’s always good to some degree. The manager is a really lovely gentleman who has assisted me whenever I’ve ran into some kind of issue and is always extremely diligent and quick to fix any errors, if any. Just would like to say that I enjoy their food very much and appreciate their attention to detail. I enjoy their food so much that I literally the same dish, every single week as my treat haha but the atmosphere inside is also really great. I will dine in soon! This is a really homey and welcoming spot. If you haven’t check them out, please do so!

Great restaurant in Rahway! Especially if you are looking for Italian.Vegetarian options: Many great pasta dishes that are vegan
Pros- Great atmosphere, multiple fireplaced, live music, fresh bread, well plated and tasty food, Large portions- bacon potato soup was probably the best I have ever had. Cons- Very slow meal service, servers brought wrong soup, servers forgot an ordered drink twice, a bit on the costly side of life. Would go back- I think the bones of the place were worth a revisit, but if service doesn't improve the cost will outweigh the benefits.

We loved our experience at Luciano's. We were taken care of from the start. The staff is very attentive. We enjoyed being in a cozy fireplace room alongside the bar area. There was live jazz in the bar area that we could still experience and it sounded great. Our meal was delicious. I had the branzini special over tender root veggies that had a light pineapple sauce and my husband had Seafood Fra Diablo. It was in a creamy red sauce with a medium spice level. He loved it!

Food was great, and the vibe was good too! But service was not great. Waited for over an hour to get our first course. No one asked if everything was ok. No one refilled our water. It's hard to get our waiter. Also a mandatory tip of 18% added in the final bill.
