There is nothing better than getting to play with cats and kittens for an hour! And no better way for someone to meet a cat in a relaxed atmosphere to see if their personality is a good match. I am so glad I found Rahway Kitty Hall because I adopted my cat there (adoption application is made via Angel Paws shelter and rescue organization). Thank you, Rahway Kitty Hall!

There are so many lovely kitties to adopt. All you need is 10 bucks!!! Then you can pet the cats and play with them!! :) The people who run it are absolutely lovely.

The front door was locked upon arrival. Arriving 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment we waited outside as we were told staff needed time for cleaning. The woman working the front desk was ill-mannered and hostile and left us standing in the cold. After she unlocked the door and let us enter for our appointment there was a powerful unpleasant ammonia scent. It smelled horrific. The front office was very small and disorganized. After signing a waver we were instructed to take off our footwear upon entrance to the cat room and place booties over our socks. I did not feel comfortable to walk around without shoes. The cat room had benches and couches to sit on however I felt more comfortable standing throughout the experience. There was a great deal of cat hair on all the cushions and blankets. I understand cats shed however this business was simply uncleanly. The cats were playful and cute but I will not be returning or recommending this business to others. What a CATastrophe!

The lady (maybe she was having an off day) was brash with instructions and while I understand the rules they have to follow. Her tone and manner could've been a bit friendlier with our group. There's always a way of saying things without being rude.

The first time I went, the place must have been deep cleaned prior to its news segment because when I went yesterday the smell of feces was overwhelming. Had we not been meeting friends there, we would have left. Aside from that, the cats were very sweet and all of the visitors gave each other space to enjoy.

Rahway Kitty Hall is full of many wonderful cats and staff that goes above and beyond to make sure they’re all well taken care for. I have recently adopted Laverne and my family and I really adore her. I am forever grateful for Kristins help and generosity prior to adopting to present time today as she’s been readily available to answer any questions and address any concerns I’ve had. The staff who run RKH and Angel Paws are hard working and genuinely care about the well-being of their pets. If you’re looking to adopt or spend some time with cats- I can’t recommend them enough! We came here on a Monday night and had a blast with the kitties!They had a variety of full grown cats and kittens. The kittens were SO playful. Along with our group was another group of 5 adults and the kittens had enough energy to play with everyone, continuously for a the whole hour we were there!The adults cats were sweet as well. All of them had good temperaments. Some were more social, coming out into the larger group while others waited for you to approach them.The owner was kind and offered advice on how to interact with each of the cats. She knew each of their personalities and ensured that we had a great experience.In terms of pricing it's $10 a person per hour. You don't have to reserve a spot in advance, but there's limited space so it's advised.There was ample metered street parking when visited.

The staff there are informative and experienced. They are exceptional at what they do. I think it's very generous of them to donate their time and love above all else to help these cats find their proper loving homes. I visit now and then but, just to see the cats and give them loving interaction with humans. I have three already. Also I love being surrounded by them. I find the Rahway Kitty Hall and all cat cafes are a great place to go if you are interested in getting a cat for a pet. It gives you the chance to meet and spend time with them.
