I have finally had a sub from a SUBWAY® that is worth 4 stars. It is The Monster with double meat and whatever toppings you prefer. I went with Garlic Aoli, Red Wine Vinegar, Lettuce, Tomato, Spinach, Black Olive, Jalapeño, Banana Peppers, Black Pepper and Oregano. Not toasted. The question is, is it worth $17? Nah. I honestly cannot tell the difference between their presliced meat to their newly sliced fresh meat. For chains, Jersey Mike’s is much higher quality for $1 - $2 more. Jersey Mike’s is actually less expensive had I went to the Avenel Subway location. The same sub there was $20! If you are in Central/North Central NJ, do yourself a favor and just go to Tastee Subs in Metuchen.Vegetarian options: 1 veggie option for subs. There is also a salad.

As soon as you walk in through the doors the worker “Demi” makes a face as if it’s a huge inconvenience. If you don’t like to work there maybe find another job? You are making meals for people and taking their money, having some sort of customer service is a must! God forbid you ask for extra anything, or anything on the side because you will be given the biggest eye roll! Not is she impolite, but she is also stingy, rude, unprofessional, impatient and just a HORRIBLE person to interact with. On multiple occasions I’ve tried to get her name, but I’ve never seen a name tag until today so I finally decided to do a review. My whole family stopped going to this Subway specifically because of her. She doesn’t greet you she doesn’t smile, they use dirty knives. We’re vegetarians, and one time, the person before us had a meatball sub, so I asked her to use a different knife and she claimed she only had this knife. In your entire store you have 1 knife? The meat from the previous sub contaminates ours, it’s simple common sense is it not? Anyway, we take our sandwiches home and cut off the middle parts where she used the knife to slice the subs.Today:1. The cucumbers were visibly old and dried out.2. The spinach had some type of crumbs or other residue on it.3. We had a coupon, 2 foot longs for $12.99, plus had accrued $2 in points. I asked her if I can use both and Demi said yes. After she rung us up she said the total was close to $14, so I told her that it doesn’t sound right since the coupon should have brought it to $12.99 minus the $2, so $10.99 plus tax. I kept trying to explain that something was not right and that there was an error somewhere. She was not having it! She was extremely rude and so defensive and we must not forget the mean faces and eye rolls! She claims she knows what she is doing and if I don’t believe her I can come to the side of the counter to look at the screen so that she can prove it to me, and I told her that I believe her, she does know how to do her job, but something is not right. After 3 to 4 attempts of persuading her, I go to look at her screen and in fact, the $2 coupon was not added, and then I asked her to fix it which she reluctantly does. Finally, the total came out to be $10.99 plus tax. I personally thought it was basic math, but maybe I hold people to higher standards than I should. Regardless, we got our food, came home, the taste was a 4/10, not much has changed at this location over the years. I wouldn’t waste my time, there are plenty of other locations which provide quality customer service from the get go. Demi, you are a horrible worker, please kindly get retrained or find another job.Update: 01/28/24 I went back because I was starving; y’all, I asked for jalapeños on the side and the same girl told me they charge a dollar and some change for like 5 jalapeño slices on the side?!?! Ask for napkins = eye roll from her. Anybody know who the owner is? This is just awful every time.

There is this one big lady that works there and she makes the worse sandwiches ever she throws the veggies on the bread and makes a messy sub, always got a attitude and makes mean faces. She needs to get fired because this subway was better when she wasn't working. Also come during the time when you see anyone working because they know how to make a sub right and delicious.

I ordered a full veggie sandwich. All I got was 2 halves containing an itsy-bitsy amount of mayo, 6-8 olives pieces, and some spinach. I am posting a picture of the sandwich that I got. Had to just dump it!!! I could not even reach anyone at the store because guess what?? NO ONE picks up the phone at this store. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Store and Horrible service.

I just went there to get my lunch there is a kid 2years omg so rude he argue with me just because I told him to add lettuce after and he put alot mustard and I told him just little like very rude he dosen't have any customers service at all . So upset ?. He gotta try to be nice with the customers

Idk how they can be instantly annoyed because you came to subway and ordered a sandwich. 3/4 times I've been they've been rude af. Good luck staying in business at this rate.
