We had them cater for our Halloween party. I have never had so many guest go out of their way to tell me how amazing the food was. It was top quality and he gives so much in each order. I already knew it would be good but I would rate this exceptional.

Their food is definitely prepared with LOVE and what more can you ask for! They are one of the unique and finest caterers around. Donna was soooo easy to work with and so helpful! They are my new go to for any future events! They made the day extra special!

It's like this healthy stuff that looks good and actually tastes good too. Probably ideal to cater a lunch or dinner. I suspect more of the Subaru crowd but those who adequately bath are regulars. I drive one too but I only have 300k miles on it, and no, I haven't climbed a mountain, maybe I will, and pack some of this food. Oh, if you get overnight oats or the chia seed cup dump it into a bowl because the toppings will otherwise spill over. I would've used yogurt on the oats but they went with some type of cream.

Passed hors were watermelon radish tacos; pickled golden beet tartar; Asian chicken sliders; tuna tartar with avocado mousse on a wonton crisp; and beef short rib mini tacos! Wow! After that we had small plates- perfect roasted salmon; pumpkin and leek ravioli; fabulous beef tenderloin ( perhaps the most flavorful, tenderest I have ever had!If that isn’t enough, they are warm, friendly folks. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Modern Roots Scratch Kitchen in Ramsey. I hired them for my Husbands surprise party of 74 people. Robert and Donna are amazing to work with. Robert created a beautiful menu taking into account any special vegan, non-dairy food, and some requests for children under 12. He even created covid friendly appetizers on individual plates so the crowd wasn’t reaching into the same platter. It was beautifully laid out on towers as you can see from the pictures.He sent an extremely organized, friendly, and hard working staff. DJ was our captain. She organized everything from the placement of the tables, bringing out special plates to my father who couldn’t get around, and rounding up the crowd to sing Happy Birthday.Vance and Antonio were fantastic bartenders. They were friendly and accommodatingNow to the food! Simply amazing! Passed hor d’oeuvres consisting of crab cakes, filet mignon on crostini with horseradish, figs with radishes and whipped goat cheese to name just a few. The main courses were Salmon with miso glaze, fresh chicken and roasted vegetables, and the one entree people could not stop talking about was the Braised Short Ribs. He also created a vegan pasta with artichokes, spinach, and vegan cheese.It was just a phenomenal evening. They arrived early, they stayed for 7 hours, they returned my kitchen to exactly the way they found it. I highly recommend Modern Roots Scratch Kitchen, not only for a big party, but also to stop by their location and grab yourself lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed.
