We met friends for dinner last week. We enjoy not only having a meal, but, having an experience. We certainly had that at Elli's backyard! The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. And, we highly recommend the Smore tray for dessert! Fun for all.....

First of all the restaurant is adorable. It reminds me of an outdoor patio you would eat at in the back of a Manhattan restaurant only it’s indoors. Went to lunch with two other people. Great menu - so many great choices we could barely decide what to get. We ended up with an Omelette,. Black bean burger, and Caesar salad wrap Everything was fresh and delicious — especially those French fries. Cannot wait to go back and next time will be getting dessert.

Our first visit; but not our last!! We were going to concert at Count Basie. The food was delicious and hot. The fried rice and shrimp in pineapple was great and my husband had the special raviolis. The red velvet cake appetizer large enough to share. Quiet and efficient service. Can't ask for anything more from a restaurant!! Already making another reservation.

We had a great experience at Elli's Backyard. There were 10 of us in total. We tried a variety of appetizers including the Bang Bang Shrimp, Firecracker Cauliflower, Calamari and Bacon. Then each of us had a different entree. Everything was delicious. We will definitely go back.

Came in for one of their character nights. Kids had a blast. The meatballs and chicken caprese were home runs. Our server Corinne was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Always a good night when we eat at Elli's.

We were in awe of this place, highly recommend. We stopped in on a Thursday night, surprisingly, there was no one here, despite how delicious the food is and how beautiful the decor is. The service was amazing, flavor was fantastic, and the food came out on a timely manner. Absolutely stunning!

Went in with no expectations... left with planning our next visit. I was blown away. You pass through the front door and face an ivy wall as you check in at the hostess stand, protecting your view of lies ahead. As you enter the restaurant you are transported to a backyard. With climbing ivy weaving throughout the pergola walls, twined with lights. The smells of a campfire in the distance and smokehouse hamburgers on the grill faintly wafting playfully in the air. It's an hidden oasis in Red Bank. Rob was our waiter, attentive and passionate about service. He shared the specials and his favorites all from his head with vivid descriptions and detail. The menu displayed a variety of choices for all pallets. At our table, we had a variety of foods, including the house, favorite of the pineapple bowl with grilled shrimp. I had the brown maple glaze salmon resting on a sweet mashed potato, the with demi glaze side and steam broccoli. the skewers were also a favorite of the table. Each plate came with three: a chicken and a shrimp or a bit of rice, the sauces used in cooking, then drizzled over the bed of rice. At one of the other tables, we saw the smokehouse burger, which is delivered in a dome plate. When the cover is lifted, smoke pillows out giving that outdoor aroma, so Kingsley associated with barbecues. For dessert we opted for the wheelbarrow chocolate cake and ice cream. It's literally delivered in a wheelbarrow. A table celebrating a birthday in the corner for the s'mores campfire. They were making their own s'mores while enjoying the company of their friends. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food and also the portion size. Nobody left hungry. The prices were reasonable for our party of six, and the restaurant is also BYOB, which makes it even more appealing. If you are up for an adventure, I would recommend coming to experience it for yourself. .

The restaurant cancelled a reservation I made 8 days earlier the night before we were due to be there. They said they had a private party. It may be a good restaurant, but I’ll never know!

Quiet night- only 3 tables full. Server pleasant and attentive. Entree Salad was great- large portions and fresh. My friends poke bowl was served on a plate not in a bowl, so proved challenging to eat from what was anticipated, but she said the flavors were good.

We love Elli's backyard- every time we have Exellent food only topped by the service but last night they made our daughter's 16th birthday magical and a night we will always treasure!

Went for brunch for my daughter's 15th birthday. Adorable decor, excellent service and great food! They even had happy birthday balloons on the table when we arrived. Would definitely recommend and go back!

A "don't miss this place " kind of restaurant for families ! Great service ( they actually make you feel like they care about you patronizing their establishment)!Attentive hostess & waitress , eventhough busy, a friendly vibe . We went with our grandchildren & their parents for Spiderman night . It's a BYOB where adults can have dinner while their children eat & then are entertained. . On certain nights they have guest characters such as Spiderman ! The kids loved it & so did we . We enjoyed a great meal , conversation with our son & his wife all while the kids were entertained. They also have an area to be seated if you are just dining without seeing the characters . Well planned .They have everything from burgers to fish & pasta . We got black bean burger , steak sandwich & California Burger & of course chicken tenders & fries for the kids .It was a perfect , fun evening with our family & we loved seeing our grandchildren interact with Spiderman & believe ing he really was in Red Bank . Parking can be a bit challenging, but they do have lots with meters all over Red Bank . White street is probably close enough to park & walk over. The restaurant is on Broad Street in Red Bank .We were to a more " upscale " restaurant the week before ,& I honestly have to say that we had a better time at Ellis backyard last night .Service , atmosphere & a welcoming hostess all added up to a pleasant experience!Kid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly

The restaurant is very comfortable inside. Noise level was appropriate for having conversations. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about menu items and specials. I'm always impressed when the server doesn't need to write down the order! The food was delicious and abundant. We will visit this restaurant again in the future.
