Our visit to this establishment on a bustling Friday evening revealed a packed venue, teeming with patrons and buzzing with activity. The lively atmosphere, however, came with its downside as the noise level escalated to the point where conversations at our own table became challenging. Despite the cacophony, the culinary offerings proved to be a delightful surprise, offering a contemporary twist on traditional favorites.Standout dishes included the ricotta dumplings and the inventive pani puri shots, which captivated our palates with their bold flavors and innovative presentations. The assortment of pani options for the pani puri was particularly memorable, striking a harmonious balance between sweet, tangy, and sour notes reminiscent of authentic Indian street food. Additionally, the biryani showcased robust flavors and expertly executed spice blends, further enhancing the dining experience. To conclude our meal, we indulged in decadent desserts such as gulab jamun and mango dessert, both of which provided a satisfyingly sweet conclusion to our culinary journey. However, despite the culinary highlights, the overall experience was marred by the overwhelming noise generated by the large crowd. A quieter dining environment or the segregation of larger groups could have significantly improved the overall ambiance and allowed for a more enjoyable dining experience for all patrons.Vegetarian options: Lots of options to choose fromParking: You can find a spot in the open parking lot or can do street parking

Absolutely spectacular Indian food!!! this is definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve had on the East Coast. They have a wonderful blend of northern and southern dishes that I’m fairly unaccustomed to sing since moving to New Jersey. The flavors are exceptional, and the service was top-notch!

We went last night to try it for the first time as it was on the restaurant week list. It is a lovely restaurant and the food was generally very good. However, nothing we were served was hot. In fact, the Naan was actually cold - garlic butter naan served cold is not very welcoming. The restaurant was not too busy when we got there, and nearly full when we left - but they had plenty of staff. What we did notice was only two people actually brought food to the tables, while the SEVEN waiters/servers that were working did not deliver food, and in many cases were simply standing around talking to each other. If they would have been serving food as well this entire issue could have been avoided.Additionally, while our waiter was very polite and informative, we had to track our him down constantly to get our water glasses filled - he never once just came by with water - it was simply lack of attention on his part. And finally, while it is not made clear on the menu - the Restaurant Week menu has clearly smaller portions than the regular menu. It is not spelled out - but when you see the food coming out - the portion of our food, compared to the table next to us who got the same dish - 15 minutes later than us - was considerably larger. For two Restaurant Week servings and a tip the bill was $100 - and this was not a $100 meal by any stretch. We were underwhelmed and will continue to look for our go to Indian restaurant in the area.

We had wanted to try Saffron for a while and when we saw they were participating in restaurant week we went. It did not disappoint. Service was excellent and the food outstanding. We had the crispy cauliflower and lamb tart to start. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and the cauliflower was definitely crispy. The saffron butter chicken and the prawns narkel were our entree. Prawns were large and cooked to perfection and the chicken was moist and juicy Both sauces were so well spiced. We will definitely return.

This was my first time dining at an Indian Restaurant and it was amazing! The staff was so attentive and friendly, the decor is lovely, the food was delicious, and we love BYOB! Check it out!! We will definitely be back.

The food was good-but was not hot - even after telling the waiter the first course wasn't hot, the main came out the same way. We did the restaurant week price fix menu and the portions were clearly smaller than the regular menu and for the price was a terrible value. This was not a $100 meal, but that's what it cost -with NO drinks at all.

Saffron is a gem of a find, offering a classy and modern take on Indian cuisine while maintaining impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth. The presentation of each dish is a work of art, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. We ordered Lamb Laal Maas Tart, Kasondi Shrimp, and Smoked Tandoori Lamb Chops, all were bursting with juicy, flavorful goodness, tantalizing the taste buds with each bite. Moving on to the entrees, the Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan stole the show with their rich, comforting flavors. Ricotta & Paneer Kofta also impressed with its depth of flavor and perfect execution. However, the Saffron Butter Chicken did not meet expectations. While the Mango Ghewar dessert didn't quite hit the mark , the complimentary Angoori Gulab Jamuns provided a sweet ending to our anniversary celebration, showcasing the restaurant's thoughtful attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, Saffron earns a well-deserved four-star rating for its outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and inviting ambiance.

Tried this place last night. We had a bit of an issue being seated promptly although we had a reservation. However the manager Manish quickly fixed it and comp-ed us an appetizer (chaat) to make up for it. Now that’s what I call true hospitality and customer service !The food was amazing especially the butter chicken as well as the dessert (ras malai). Definitely going back.
