We had wanted to try Saffron for a while and when we saw they were participating in restaurant week we went. It did not disappoint. Service was excellent and the food outstanding. We had the crispy cauliflower and lamb tart to start. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and the cauliflower was definitely crispy. The saffron butter chicken and the prawns narkel were our entree. Prawns were large and cooked to perfection and the chicken was moist and juicy Both sauces were so well spiced. We will definitely return.

This was my first time dining at an Indian Restaurant and it was amazing! The staff was so attentive and friendly, the decor is lovely, the food was delicious, and we love BYOB! Check it out!! We will definitely be back.

The food was good-but was not hot - even after telling the waiter the first course wasn't hot, the main came out the same way. We did the restaurant week price fix menu and the portions were clearly smaller than the regular menu and for the price was a terrible value. This was not a $100 meal, but that's what it cost -with NO drinks at all.

Saffron is a gem of a find, offering a classy and modern take on Indian cuisine while maintaining impeccable service and a cozy atmosphere. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth. The presentation of each dish is a work of art, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. We ordered Lamb Laal Maas Tart, Kasondi Shrimp, and Smoked Tandoori Lamb Chops, all were bursting with juicy, flavorful goodness, tantalizing the taste buds with each bite. Moving on to the entrees, the Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan stole the show with their rich, comforting flavors. Ricotta & Paneer Kofta also impressed with its depth of flavor and perfect execution. However, the Saffron Butter Chicken did not meet expectations. While the Mango Ghewar dessert didn't quite hit the mark , the complimentary Angoori Gulab Jamuns provided a sweet ending to our anniversary celebration, showcasing the restaurant's thoughtful attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, Saffron earns a well-deserved four-star rating for its outstanding cuisine, attentive service, and inviting ambiance.

A very fun experience. Upscale Indian food. Friendly wait team. I just thought you could be more generous with the naan/roti for the price. The lamb shank, samosas, and bao buns were amazing.

The restaurant itself and the food presentation was stunning! There was clear attention to every detail, and each dish had incredible flavor. I highly recommend the chicken tandoori croquettes! We will be back, it was worth the drive from Bergen County!

Has potential. The service, although friendly , we were rushed. We ordered cauliflower appetizer flavor was meh. Entrées ,we had lamb which had a delicious sauce however, the lamb was incredibly dry on the border of unedible. We also had the tandoori octopus, which was a showstopper. And a tasty yogurt pomegranate tip. I'll give the restaurant at least two more tries because I am a local. 1. Never rush your guess especially if your restaurant isn't even half full and there are more than three hours before closing. 2. Consider a few varieties of seating. And especially if the restaurant isn't full and customers request to sit next to each other,, allow it . Unless you're expecting a party of 25+ and need all the extra seating. 3. Absolutely never overcook Lamb as it becomes leathery and chewy. Less breading on the cauliflower or even better no breading.

My new favorite Indian food spot in NJ. Everything is incredibly delicious! Truffel Morel Lamb Korma and Seabass Goan Curry are must try. Inside the restaurant is very clean and good atmosphere. Good service and quick. 10 out of 10 for Indian restaurant in this area.

We tried this as takeout yesterday. Did not like at all. Tiny portions. Enormous prices. Ton of spice, little flavor. Won't go back. If you are looking for good Indian in Red Bank Bombay River is much better.

I ABSOLUTELY recommend this restaurant! We started off with the crispy cauliflower and chicken bao bun appetizers—both were AMAZING! Then for dinner we had saffron butter chicken and chicken biryani with avocado and pomegranate raita were incredibly flavorful and fresh. The service was outstanding; the staff provided excellent recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed. And for dessert we had ras malai and gulab jamun it was unbelievably delicious! Don't miss out on experiencing this restaurant—it's a must-visit!!

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Saffron Ref Bank and was left feeling utterly disappointed and ripped off. The prices were exorbitant, but what was even more shocking was the complete lack of taste and quantity of food. It was akin to paying top dollar for a meal that belonged in a school cafeteria. But the disappointment didn't stop there. When we brought our own cake to celebrate a birthday, we were slapped with a penalty fee! Unbelievably, this restaurant charges for the privilege of celebrating a special occasion, while other establishments offer complimentary desserts or treats. And to make matters worse, no one informed us about this policy until we were presented with the bill. The cherry on top (or lack thereof) was the chipped plates and dishes, which seemed to be a fitting metaphor for the entire experience. Despite reserving a table in advance, we were made to wait while watching open tables go unused. In short, avoid Saffron Red Bank like the plague. The prices are outrageous, the food is subpar, and the policies are customer-unfriendly. There are far better options in the area that offer quality food, service, and a genuine welcome. Don't waste your hard-earned money or special occasions on this disappointing establishment.

I would like to share a disappointing experience I had at Saffron Red Bank - Modern Indian Dining. Despite the high prices, the food quality and quantity were subpar, making it a poor value for the money. Additionally, the restaurant charged a fee for celebrating a special occasion, which is unusual compared to other establishments. Furthermore, the staff failed to inform us about this policy, leading to an unexpected penalty. When I shared my honest feedback, the restaurant responded in a way that attempted to discredit my experience. I have written a Google review detailing my experience, and I encourage others to read it before making a decision. I hope this serves as a warning to avoid wasting money, time, and effort on a disappointing dining experience.I am sure this message will also be deleted and disregarded by @saffron_redbank.I wish google has an options to mark a dislike button too.. we desperately need an option to provide our true feedback .. rather than raiting any below standard place even a single “star”I specially planned it for my birthday and brought our own cake .. request not to waste you precious time and money.. @saffron_redbank has pathetic food, taste, quantity and service… they will make you pay to cut your own cake and ask for $25 .. for what??? Service is below standard too..We have so many much better eat out option in New Jersey than to waste our valuable money on “nothing” (literally portion sizes are equivalent to NOTHING”)If you are reading my review, and still have a 2nd to give it a try.. Please go ahead and come back to then agree me on my comment here… but by then you would have wasted your previous time, money and mood
