Been coming here since I was a kid and it's been my favorite place for Chinese food all these years. The quality of the food is fantastic and I think it's gotten better over time! Their sesame chicken was my favorite as a kid and since I became a pescatarian, their sesame tofu has become my favorite! They always managed to make their chicken so crisp and they do the same with their tofu! And the sesame sauce is my favorite I've had. My girlfriend is a local and always takes us here when home for the holidays. She loves the sesame chicken and I’ve tried many other dishes too (pan fried noodles, general tsos, honey walnut chicken) and all great!
Everytime I come to visit New Jersey, this will be my go to place! I really enjoy ordering the Sesame Beef dish for the entree as well as the Kale Dumplings for the appetizer. This place is a stable and I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit!

Overall:I love their menu at least all the things I have tried so far they have fantastic vegetable options that actually are delicious.Their ice cream is so amazingly creamy and the flavors are blend well if you like multiple flavors to have two different flavor scoops like my sister and I do.Best dishes in my humble opinion:I love their shu mai, sesame chicken, healthy jumbo shrimp with vegetables and their mei fun is the best of any place I have ever gotten taken out from.We order a lot especially while we were in the process of moving.They are friendly nice, clean, polite, and deliver and their delivery people are good and polite. Plus the food is has been fairly good quality the many days we have orderOther positive things:For Disabled or low mobility peoplethey have delivery that works out fine and I don't drive so that is good for me as I can't walk more than a few feet and use a wheelchair/ walker due to mobility issue from a past injury.One day I hope to be able to go there in person and see the ambience up close as I used to go to a diner with my family as a child and it looks so much like it (at least from the street when I have passed when I did have a ride into Ridgewood a few times in the past.Vegetarian options: They have tofu, vegetable only options and they have dishes that are vegetarianThere's a nice mix for vegetarian or meat eaters/ fish eaters because their food is good with or without fish or seafood or chicken, and their tofu was nice so if going with friends or family who are meat eaters or vegetarian there is a good list of optionsDietary restrictions: I can't eat eggs they always leave them outI also can't eat much meat or poultry and no red meat due to health issues and I never had an issue with it all the times we order.Also my food is never too spicy which is good as I have digestive system issues that are very delicate, the food is not suffering from a few adjustmentsKid-friendliness: They have kid favorites like grilled cheese

Love their mei fun, shumai appetizer is truly tasty excellent. Tasty lightly spiced not at all aggressive on a sensitive stomach my loved ones all have. very excellent classic diner choices and classic pan asian fare. they are our favorite we ordered their food so often when we were moving highly recommend their food The ice cream is so amazing my cat is constantly sneaking over and trying to help herself to a bowl while I serve everyones dessert that I had to give her a little dish with a spoonful of lactose free yogurt before I serve dessert after we eat dinner either way Ican say that homemade ice cream is very tempting it never lasts long in my home, if you want an interesting mix of asian, diner food and nice service then I certainly suggest giving Baumgarts a try if you are looking for tasty well prepped food and ice cream.

Baumgarts is a staple for me. I love all of their noodle dishes. I recommend trying a milk shake if it's your first time! The service is always great. They are always so warm and welcoming. The vibe is a retro diner feel. It's super unique and I like anything in this area. Highly recommend.

Their ice cream is the best butter pecan I have had. Their healthy creations with all veggies in garlic sauce is amazingly simple but super tasty. Their staff is very nice, their diner food I have tried is great they are so nice. Service is good, people who take the orders are very nice, friendly Delivery people are fast efficient and good they seem to have a nice ambiance and even though my family has some tummy issues with certain foods they have been extremely nice about adjusting the mei fun dishes which is awesome as not everyone does that.

My first time at this place and it was AMAZING! They had just opened and I was the only customer. I was greeted right away and my waiter was extremely friendly plus accommodating. I’m vegan and he helped me pick out 3 very tasty items such as the spring rolls, roti and kung po tofu which was very flavorful and just delicious! I finally decided to check this place out last Thursday. Food was great. I ordered veggie spring rolls with a chili sauce and Chicken & Broccoli with a brown garlic sauce. It's usually difficult nowadays to find a spot that makes this dish and other similar ones this good. Chicken was juicy and tender made just right. They do have just enough parking available behind the restaurant. The time I ate there was early afternoon so it was a nice relaxed setting. I wish the prices were a little lower. (Just my opinion)
