Come for the pizza. The crust is unbelievably delicious. We had about a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it.

First time eating here and my gosh it's delicious. I came in for lunch & I ordered the personal white pie and added peppers and onions. Truly,it's one of the best white pies I have had. They bake it with garlic in the white sauce and it adds a great taste to it. The dough itself is so fluffy, I haven't experienced a pizza dough this airy should I say? Most importantly my crust wasn't burned. Often times with coal brick oven pies, I find the crust burns. I also ordered a side of fries and they were nice & crispy and not an oily mess. Overall I recommend this pizzeria and look forward to return to try other items on the menu.

Cute local pizzeria that promotes their coal-fired pizzas. Located in the center of Ridgewood, this local eatery is easy to find and access, but parking may be a challenge since this area is very dense with commerce.First, this restaurant does not accept credit cards - cash only. They do not have an ATM; however, there are several banks with ATMs within walking distance. The dining area has about 15 or so tables with traditional checkered tablecloths. It appears to be a local spot for takeout, as we witnessed multiple people coming in for takeout orders during our visit. The service was prompt and polite. We started with the calamari and ordered a plain margherita pizza for dinner. The calamari came out quickly and was a decent amount for the price charged. The marinara sauce was meaty in consistency and had a good solid flavor. The calamari pieces (tubes only, no tentacles) we're good sized and the coating was perfectly cooked with a golden brown and crispy coating. The squid meat was tender, but had a very little taste. Often, restaurants give small pieces, smaller portions, or the squid is chewy. This calamari had none of those characteristics, but it did not have any real flavor. The pizza came out a few minutes later and was straight out of the oven with steam still actively rising. The crust was a little thicker on the edges than I prefer, but not too thick. There was very little charring of the crust, which is a common character of a coal-fired pizza. The firmness of the crust was lacking and could have been avoided by an extra minute or two in the oven. The sauce was solid and the mozzarella was average. Besides the doneness and thickness of the crust, the taste was somewhat bland. I normally use parmesan cheese ont pizza, but I found myself adding extra parmesan to bring some flavor that was lacking. None of these criticisms made the pizza bad, they just didn't make it great. If I'm back in the area, I'll give ve this place another try and order something other than the calamari and pizza. They have other items, so perhaps those items will prove to be more flavorful.

Pizza provides a quintessential New York pizza experience with its coal-fired brick oven craftsmanship. The crust achieves the perfect balance of crispiness and chewiness, enhancing the texture.

My daughter and I were heading to another restaurant and smelled this amazing aroma coming from the pizzeria across the street so we decided to go there. We were so excited to try the pizza as this was our first time. We were greeted nicely with a menu and a short back story of the family business which made us even more excited! The pizza arrived and at first sight I was taken aback in a bad way from the appearance alone then I tasted it and couldn’t believe how bland it was! Absolutely no flavor whatsoever and a soggy mess! This place is overrated and not sure how tonight was so busy. What a waste of money.

Go to pizza place. Can't go wrong. I love the margarita but the white tastes amazing too! The garlic bread with cheese is basically a pizza with no sauce, It's good. Staff is very nice and professional.

It wasn’t very busy so we were seated right away. But they didn’t realize they did not give us menus. We waited a while and then had to ask for them. The waitstaff was not very friendly. We felt like they didn’t want to bother taking our order. And when we had a question it felt like it was rudely answered. We were given wine glasses and one was cracked. We pointed it out and asked for a new one. No apology was given for that. Food was good but service was not.

Amazing pizza. Some of the best brick oven pizza I have had. Waitress can be a bit friendlier though.

Old school brick oven pizza. Super delish. Recommend dine it rather than take out. The pizza is best right out of the oven. Service is good, it is cash only.

I recently dined at this gem, and it was a culinary delight. The pizza was a revelation – perfectly crisp crust, fresh toppings, and a medley of flavors that danced on my taste buds. The service was impeccable, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall charm. Five stars for an unforgettable pizza experience!

Came here last Saturday and have been here multiple times as I am local to the area. What sets this place apart is the fresh mozzarella cheese. It is a fantastic mix of salty creamy and has a great pull factor. The pizzas are always fresh and have a nice char to them, which adds a great layer of flavor. I'll be back.
