Such a beautiful restaurant with not so good service. Lady was in a rush to take my order, no patience whatsoever. I ordered the fried rice it was greasy and so bland just not good, the cucumber and avocado rolls were ok.Vegetarian options: Not enough and from what I ordered not good

I went to this joint a week ago for dinner around 6:30 PM. I was the only patron in the dining room. I ordered hot green tea, miso soup, spring roll, vegetable fried rice and seafood tempura entrée. In other words, all hot dishes. The service was okay. EVERYTHING that was supposed to be hot came out lukewarm at best. I was particularly displeased with the temperate of the chicken fried rice. The rice tasted over done (almost mushy, gross), and yet the dish was tepid. Nothing was to temperature. I could not remember eating Japanese food that tasted this terrible. It was my first and last time eating at this place.

I came here earlier this week for dinner and it was nice. Had come in when there was just one other table and the waitress was kind. The place was nicely lit, a nice dim lighting perfect for a good sushi dinner with friends. I got a special roll with tuna and spicy salmon and it tasted very good and filling.

I work as a doordash delivery man, the attention leaves a lot to say, starting out nobody comes out to attend, after a while they come out and tell you 5 minutes and they wait more than 20 minutes and other people arrive to place orders and their order comes out first, I really felt as if he were asking for food for free, they should be kinder to the delivery men and give him equal treatment.

I love love Kumo! My top favorite Japanese restaurant around the area, great portions , affordable price, and great place for a intimate date or dinner with friends.

I have a love-hate relationship with this restaurant. To list the good things.... the fish is usually very fresh, their more simple rolls (like the White Crystal roll) are fantastic, and they are BYOB. So it's a good option on a casual weeknight out because the food is usually very good. But to list the bad things.... after taking a very long while, the delivery driver awkwardly calls you as he walks up to the door, instead of just ringing the doorbell? Pickup on a busy night is even more of a nightmare... you will stand there 30-50 mins PAST when they tell you to arrive, and your food will be handed to you with zero apology. Mistakes are made often with our takeout orders as well. Food missing, or they send you home with someone else's food and then yell at you on the phone to DRIVE BACK with the food, as if that person will even want it. No apologies when that happens either!! And to top it off, the restaurant lacks an ambience, and is in need of a renovation. Not a place to take someone if you want to impress them. All in all — the positives of this place end at the food, because usually, they make some of the better sushi in the area… but Kumo is certainly not risk free of being an unpleasant experience. Some good customer service would take it way further, and that’s extremely disappointing.

Where to begin. Ordered delivery for dinner. The driver called me, I don't even know why, because the only word he knew was delivery. Kept grunting at me on the phone. I kept asking if he was lost and he just grunted and said nothing and breathed heavily. So awkward. I was standing at my door and he finally found my house. I told him on the phone I was sick, just leave my food outside. He made me open the door anyway. I brought the bag to the kitchen and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Wish I didn't pay him the 20% tip in advance. As far as the food, it was so bad. Every roll that had salmon, which was all but one, tasted off. I think the salmon wasn't fresh at all. I'm a huge fan of salmon and this was really bad. The rolls that had eel, which I am also a big fan of, the eel tasted very off as well. I ordered a side of eel sauce, so I tried to mask the taste with the sauce but it was ridiculously oversalted. I barely ate much of the sushi and ordered a lot. Spent so much money, mind you I noticed they charge more on GrubHub for each roll than on their website menu, and it was all a huge waste. Afterwards, I couldn't get the disgusting taste of old salmon out of my mouth no matter what I did and became very nauseous. I don't know if the food did it or I just couldn't handle the disgusting taste that wouldn't go away and all the nausea, but I ended up throwing up a lot.I contacted GrubHub and got a full refund. 20 minutes after I spoke with GrubHub, Kumo started calling my phone. I didn't answer, they called twice. A few hours later, I received a text from them saying they apologize for what happened with my food, and that they informed the driver of my complaint and nothing like that will happen again. It won't because I will never eat there or order from there again.
