This tea house is absolutely charming!! The food is delicious! They were very good with food allergies. They offer several special events teas during the year. We've been to a couple. They are wonderful. The shop is always beautifully decorated. The women working there are very warm and friendly. We'll definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to almonds. They substituted anything that had nuts with other delicious items. They were very accommodating.

I've been to a lot of afternoon tea places this year (including at the Plaza Hotel and Bergdorf Goodman in NYC), and I have to say this one is in my top 2 favorite. LOVE that they include a vegetarian option and LOVE that this option actually includes fresh and delicious tasting sandwiches. Also, sometimes I'm in the mood for hot chocolate instead of tea and LOVE that this is an alternative. The mini treats at the top were all SO delicious (I didn't even let one go to waste) and the scone was fabulous. The decor of The New Leaf is so cute and dainty. I'm taking all my friends and family that visit me here next time!

Excellent variety of sweets and what I call finger sandwiches lol! Soup was delicious! Tea was the freshest it could possibly be and amazing! Recommended to anyone. Thank you again Shannon and Dana for a birthday experience my mother in law will never forget!

The owner/hostess was not very pleasant. Too many rules to follow. Paying customers should be treated better.Parking: Very few spots behind building.

Scheduled afternoon tea for 4 ladies at the 12 noon seating but called at 2:30pm the day before to reduce the number to 3. On arrival I was told the cancellation needed to be 24 hrs in advance. So we were charged for the 4th Tea. We were not seated until about 12:15pm. Although we were the first seating of the day, the server told us they were already out of the soup listed on the day's menu. There were just 7 other guests in the tearoom. At 1:10pm the sever brought us take home containers for the food we had not yet consumed, even though the next seating wasn't until 2:00pm. We really felt rushed. The scones and savories were good, but 2 of the sweets appeared to be store bought, not bakery made, an eclair and a macaron, like the type sold at Marshalls. All in all, not a good experience. I have been to very many tearooms both in the US and abroad and this is definitely one I would not recommend.

We hosted my daughter's Bridal Shower at the New Leaf Tea Room. When I spoke with the owner to book the tea, she had many rules and regulations. I had 3 Kids under 5...she charged full price ($35) for peanut butter and fluff sandwiches. That was whatever. And I need to start by saying the atmosphere is lovely and the tea and scones were yummy. Beyond that, the service was horrific. The hostess did not identify herself or come to me as a point person. I'm not sure if she was the owner I spoke with? She was incredibly rude. I really felt like I was on my own. She never explained how things would work and only said negative things to myself and my guests. When one of my guests let her know the toilet paper was low, she replied "it is under the hat". When my little flower girls were playing with the props and hats (which I didn't even know where there until the end), she told them that they were only for pictures. As I was setting up, she was telling me that nothing could remain in the tea room (we had some boxes for flowers) and to take them to my car. They told one guest that they were 3 servers down. My sister in law had to go to each table to see what kind of tea people wanted. And the food was displayed waaaay before the tea was ready. They never asked if we needed a tea fill up. The hostess never asked me if I needed anything. When I got there, I said I may need an extra place setting for the 3 year old. She replied "well we already made the food". Again, she was 3. There was no water on the tables. My guests had to get up from their tables and get their own water from a plastic cup! It's August, people need water at the table. This could really be very special if they had some kindness and customer service. Fortunately my daughter didn't catch any of this and had a lovely time. For $35pp, plus gratuity it was not cheap. While I enjoyed the food, many of my guests barely touched the sandwiches. The home made scones were the best I ever had. Again, this place as so much potential. But I would overall NOT recommend a shower here.

Staff was unprofessional and not helpful. They do not have an online reservation system, nor send confirmations regarding your reservation. They expect you to pay upfront when making the reservation, and then easily lose it because there is no proper system in place. It is hard to get a hold of the place to even make a reservation. For a business that is mainly run by its owner, they do not have the best hospitality or customer service.

What a wonderful magical place. The building is beautiful and so is the owner. Really enjoyed my afternoon here and my food was scrumptious.

So cute! Had a friend's wedding shower there. We all dressed up and wore hats. Little shopping section as well with a focus on tea and in the back of the store they have a spot with baby clothes.Outdoor seating: No

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have visited this establishment multiple times and has been disappointed EACH time. The food and tea is mediocre. I have given it multiple chances and this is the LAST straw. Dana the owner is INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. Went to Halloween tea and was guaranteed a tea reading or card reading. We sat there for 2 HOURS waiting and nothing. Then my mom reserved Christmas tea weeks in advance. My mom had to get emergency surgery so she couldn’t attend. She called Dana in her hospital bed to see if she can get a refund. Dana immediately shut her down and refused a refund. Dana showed no remorse to my Mom who is healing from a life saving surgery. DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON AND ESTABLISHMENT YOUR MONEY OR TIME. Dana, I hope you read this… you are severely unprofessional and I hope you take the money you wouldn’t give us back and get some therapy.

Do not have a special event here. Our event was impacted by weather, and the week leading up to it we contacted her with our concerns. She was dismissive, saying she only closes in a state of emergency. She blamed us for having an event in the winter time, was dismissive of my grandmother not being comfortable driving in the snow, and talked over my mom. The morning of, when a state of emergency was declared, she still opened and expected us to come even though she said she'd be closed. Because "they plow up here" even though we had people coming from all over NJ and PA, and clearly wouldn't feel safe driving in 7+ in of snow IN A STATE OF EMERGENCY. As a bride, I am horrified by the way my dearest family was talked to by this woman. We found a much kinder place for our bridal shower.

I love tea and small/quaint eateries. This hit all those things. My wife took me here for my birthday celebration over the weekend. It was very nice. The tea came in tea pots like at a tea party. There were tea sandwiches and small dessert to go along with it. The selection of tea was also very nice; I've noticed quite a few I have before. The gift shop we walked through was also nice. It reminded me of a Cracker Barrel where the entrance leads you through the gift shop. After our tea on the way out we stopped at the gift shop and purchased our very first outfit for our daughter that will be here in March. The cashier also our waitress was kind too. She did ask me if I was the father though, my wife believed it innocent and rather not assuming of her. I like that all staff walking and waiting were apart of the experience and willing to assist.Parking: There's a lot behind the shop.

It's cute, but the owner doesn't really treat the customers very nicely. One time I asked for a glass of ice and you would have thought I asked for her credit card number. Dana doesn't seem to like people much, which I totally get because people can be terrible. But if you're serving the public and taking their money, maybe try better to not treat them like they assaulted your mother. One other time, a side staple on the menu was "forgotten" and when I asked where it was, I was told it was my fault that it wasn't brought out. Little things like this are why businesses shut down. It would be a better spot if you didn't feel like you were crashing someone's private wedding when sitting in there and actually paying to be mistreated. Such a shame. I hope this review will get to the owner so that maybe she'll consider being a bit more pleasant to her customers because it could be a great spot.
