Even though Google says they open at 11 am. I called to push my luck and to my surprise they were open and I called them at 10:30 am! The owner of the restaurant Anthony picked up the phone. He is the most sweetest man I have ever spoke with on the phone. This is my first time ordering a huge order for my work place and he helped me plan everything and I was so nervous to because it's my first ordering for my work place and trying out NJ pizza. I only know NYC pizzas lol. I am getting off topic here. I highly recommend this place for anyone. They are so welcoming and you can definitely tell they care about their clients needs. Their pizzas is just as good as NYC.

Stopped and ate on the family restaurant side of Anthony’s on a drive back to New York from Pennsylvania.And I am glad we did. The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was welcoming.We ordered two minestrone soups, a Stromboli, and basked ziti with ricotta and sausage.The minestrone was fantastic and warming on a chilly March day. It was also a generous portion, which appears to be a theme here.The Stromboli was delicious. The side of tomato sauce had a touch of sweetness and was the perfect partner to the ham, cheese, and baked dough.The ziti was massive and we could only appreciate a few bites before we asked for a container to take the rest to go.Will definitely be back to try the cracker pizza!

If I was able to, I would give this restaurant SIX STARS. We visited here for a special occasion with family, and it came highly-recommended. If you don't look closely, you can easily pass this gem by, and that would be an absolute shame. Firstly, every single staff member was kind, welcoming, and friendly. Each had a smile on their face. Our waitress was patient, attentive, and just overall top-class. She clearly enjoyed her job and was fun to chat with. Now, the food. It blew me away. Period. Antipasto was wonderful and packed with flavor and a variety of meats and cheeses. Veal franchese? Absolutely stellar. The meat was tender, cooked perfectly, and the sauce was incredible. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The portions were immense for what we paid. The restaurant has an old school feel to it, which I love. Overall, don't miss this one!
Sometimes you stop in at a pizzeria you hadn't been to before and it's like stepping back in time. That's exactly how I felt walking in here at Anthony's. The place just has a special nostalgic feeling. There's also a very friendly atmosphere. The woman at the counter who I ordered from also brought the pizza to the table. The owner stops by the tables and checks on his customers, then when you're paying asks how everything was. The pizza was excellent! I had a slice with sausage and it was made perfectly. Nice crisp crust, good sauce, and plenty of sausage! There's a large parking lot in the back. Prices extremely reasonable. Rockaway has quite a few restaurants that are friendly and cozy like this. Anthony's helps make this are a great place to stop!

This is a family owned restaurant and they are just the coolest people you'll ever meet! My first time here they gave me my slice for free just because I was wearing my EMT jacket(: It really feels like you walked into home when you dine there. Everyone is so friendly and of course the food is amazing. Highly recommend
