Ok if I could give east cafe a - 0 stars I would. My family and I ordered from them for the first time in years. The food was awful and my mom and I got food poisoning from their food. The sickness was instantaneous my mom had a quick recovery because she right away had effects and was already on an antibiotic from a previous illness. However I had it so bad I was out of work for two weeks and in the hospital for two days for the food poisoning and its effects. The doctors stated that off of what happened it was directly caused by the food. We called east cafe and asked for the manager when we were well enough to talk to them. Their response was unprofessional and a complete disregard for the fact we got sick from their food. They stated that their family eats the food and they never had someone get sick. Everything is fresh maybe you got sick from something else. Not oh I’m sorry you went through this and any offer of restitution. My family and I know a great deal of people and always give recommendations. Well we will definitely be telling everyone about this experience and not recommending this establishment.

For a brand new Chinese restaurant and take out Place do you have very limited options. I asked for an orange chicken combo and they couldn’t do it. Only general tso chicken combo not orange chicken. I was ordering a very large order with that orange chicken…. They screwed up. I will not be returning and I plan on telling everybody I know not to go there. When you open a new business, it’s all about customer service and great food. Better options in town than here. Their prices are high as well…

My favorite sit down Chinese restaurant.I normally get the General Tso's lunch combo for ~$10 and I've never been disappointed. I'm told that the sushi is good here too.

Nice spot for a Chinese food or sushi. Convenient to the local hotel and all the shops. Nice cozy indoor seating and good service. Food was flavorful. The fried dumplings and beef on a stick were great appetizers. The tangerine beef was sweet and spicy delicious.

There are many Asian/Chinese restaurants around. This restaurant to us is the best food by far as compared to all others nearby. Very tasty food served in a pleasant and sedate environment. Not only do they offer first rate Chinese food, but have a sushi bar besides. I have had the sushi and can vouch it is quality as well. See you there!

A sign outside said 50% off for sushi orders over $30. I sit down, look at the menu and everything was twice as expensive. I ordered 2 rolls and that got me over $30. I asked for spicy mayo and they said it was $1. I did not like the deceptive marketing and penny pinching. I felt like nothing but a dollar sign to them.(Edit, response to the owner): So you're admitting that after applying the 50% discount, the price became reasonable. I would not have an issue if you just priced the food reasonably to begin with and without the discount. Again, you used DECEPTIVE MARKETING. I should have gotten up and walked out after seeing the menu. I don't think you deserve that $1 tip either.

I've ordered out a few times and now dined in and I really like it here. I am wary of restaurants with less than 4 google stars, but tried it one night as I live close and have only had positive experiences since. I love sushi and my boyfriend does not so East Cafe is great because no one has to compromise. My standard of sushi is pretty high and this place hits the mark as far as quality of fish and taste. The regular menu items I've tried have all been good as well. When we dined in our waiter was very attentive to us when we dined in and the 50% off sushi deal is great and worth it as the roll prices are similar at other places. I look forward to coming back!
