I absolutely love the atmosphere thie place has. It's warm and inviting. The food is always great and consistent. I've ordered the streak frites and it's delicious like melts in mouth tender and flavorful. The bread with cheese is ridiculous as a starter meaning it's amazing. The specials are always good and fresh. Great friendly staff with a great view and consistent great food.Vegetarian options: Good options

Great service. Lovely place with a great view of the river. But some of the food preparation was strange. For example the grilled Caesar was a grilled romaine with dressing. But the Romain was ice cold.My steak frites was not very flavorful even with the bearnaise, which was nice. The appetizers were good, the house made potato chips were amazing. My wife's meal was also bland.

We went to Salt Creek Grille to celebrate my birthday on January 25, 2024. I had a great birthday experience. We drank champagne at the bar, sat down for a lovely prime rib dinner in the main dining area and I opened presents. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and the food was delicious. Salt Creek also has nice views of the Navesink river. I've dined here before with friends and family members and each time it was very relaxing, friendly place and the food was excellent. Thanks for making my birthday celebration so special. Louise

Lovely decor inspired by the American Arts and Crafts movement-mica shade beanpot lamps ala Van Erp, Morris chairs, slag glass lanterns. Great spot on the Navesink, I always see herons swooping by. Generous portions for sharing appetizers. Pleasant staff, nice menu selection, well made drinks. I'd like the servers to recite the prices on the special, though.

Beautiful view--that's about the only good thing I can say. I have a food allergy, and the food arrived with allergans on the plate, and part of the order was wrong. I sent it back. My "new" food didn't arrive until my 4 companions were almost done eating, and there were still allergans on the plate. My food (salmon and brussel sprouts) was awful--plain and unseasoned. It was not worth the high price. The service was even worse than the food. The waiter seemed annoyed to have to be working. He never refilled waters. Our friend had to ask twice for her drink. I had to ask twice for a napkin. He disappeared for a long time. We had 2 separate checks, and he only grabbed one of them when he finally collected it. My husband enjoyed the pork chop.Dietary restrictions: Chef ignored my allergy twice!
