Best sushi in east Rutherford. They have a designated parking in front of the hotel on the opposite side. Sushis are very good and tasty. I am vegetarian but still I enjoyed the veg sushi. Try the AAC for veg and vegetable dumplings as appetizers. It is BYOB and they also serve cocktails, ?, beer etc. They have very good desserts including pista ice cream, mochi and tiramisu. Definitely recommend this place for sushi and dessert

Best Sushi I've ever had, hands down. Never really was a big sushi person or looked forward to sushi until now, simply amazing!!!

Went on a Saturday early evening. No wait time and there is designated parking across the street! Price was somewhat fair and portion sizes were decent. Pretty standard bento boxes and rolls. Don't really have much to say about this place. May come back again

Tried this place for the first time last week. Nice comfortable place. Enough parking. Great menu for veg as well. Courteous staff and quick service. This could be the new regular for sushi for us.

I got the spicy roll bento box. It came with 3 different spicy rolls, edamame, miso soup, ginger salad. Honestly I thought the rolls were average. But the miso soup, ginger salad and edamame were great. I would go again, average sushi and good sides. Overall a good meal.

This place has really nice and welcoming service especially from our waitress so that's a plus. I didn't get her name but she said she was Indonesian. The food was kinda hit and miss. We ordered the Shrimp tempura which was SO excellent. We had that and we were excited to try what we ordered as entrees because if it was as good as our app this place will be a winner for us. The entrees were not, they weren't terrible by any means just not as stellar as the app. Anyway I order the sushi box and it was really just ok and my girl had the pork box and it was fried sliced breaded pork that had the taste of fish. It just wasn't what we expected from such a good start. I would probably come again but not anytime soon expect for that shrimp tempura. I think we just built it up too much in our minds because of the high Yelp reviews. I'd give them 3.7 stars but Yelp doesn't let me so I rounded up the score. It's BYOB too by the way. But for some reason they illegally charge for bring your own drinks. Just don't offer BYOB if you're going to do that. What's weirder is they have a full bar but still BYOB too. If you don't mind them charging bring your own stuff. You're welcome Yelp and remember be nice to each other. If this helped hit the like button.

Fish is fresh and rolls are very good. Not crazy bout their ginger. Has a weird taste. I would suggest waving the $5 delivery fee on orders over $30, as you could end up spending twice as much on tax, tip, fees, etc., but one of the better places overall.

came here with my sister the other day on monday around 9pm and it was pretty busy. we found st parking right across the street which was nice and the staff sat us quickly. the staff was super sweet but honestly the food quality was not there. i got the 36(?) piece sashimi that's suppose to come with rice (which i never got), plus miso soup (which was salty). it was even more upsetting because the fish tasted fishy (which is not a good sign- not fresh). my sister got the rolls and they were average... overall, not the best sushi but at least they took some $ off because i stated the fish wasn't up to par which made this place not TOO bad - i appreciate good customer service!

My husband and I absolutely love ordering from Nizi Sushi. We have been loyal customers even when they were located in Rutherford and now closer to our home in East Rutherford. I would say we order sushi at least once a week, if not more. They are always efficient and our meals are always ready in a timely manner. During our work weeks, I do venture there for lunch every so often when I have the time. It's delicious and the sushi is always super fresh and the staff is wonderful. The manager always greets us hello and goodbye and the various servers we have had whether it's through the phone or in the restaurant are always accommodating. If I'm being honest, this is the ONLY place I ever order sushi from!

Meh. Great appetizers. You must get the gyoza and shrimp shumai. Specialty Sushi were average, but hard to compete against other sushi restaurants with similar prices.

This place was very full on a weeknight, they offer miso soup which is complementary but it was a little salty. The sushi was great and the ambience was very nice. We tried vegetarian rolls with brown rice and the rice were a little dry but overall sushi taste was good.

Went here on a date with my beautiful girlfriend and decided to go to Nizi based on the great reviews and how close it was to my home. Upon entering the restaurant we were instantly greeted by our waiter who seemed to be either a manager or the owner. He was very attentive and had that charisma and confidence of someone who runs everything. That being said I felt that we were very well taken care of. The service was top notch and very fast. Our complimentary soups came and has a nice salty miso soup and was at a perfect consuming temperature. We started with the ABomb and seared sushi appetizers. After tasting the first roll I was slightly off put by the quality of the fish. I was expecting a rich salmon flavor but it tasted very muted and mostly just got sauce. The ABomb was more tasty and fun for us to eat and definitely recommend that. Soon after our main rolls came and after popping the first piece in I was expecting more. I've had sushi from all over the northern east coast and I just did not get much fish flavor that I'm used to in these rolls. My girlfriend went for the Crazy Salmon Roll and when trying that I also was also slightly disappointed. It was drenched in spicy Mayo drowning out most of the seared fish flavor. The rolls were not bad but with steep prices of $18/$17 for each special roll it felt like these were not justified prices. As for the service it was top notch. Our table was constantly cleaned and waters filled. Really wish I was much happier with my meal based on the nice atmosphere and well trained staff. Overall I had a great time but can't say this would be my go to sushi place. Hope this review helps.

Eating in was great but take out was even better! This place is my go to for sushi and it never disappoints. Good quality sushi and no wonder they are always busy!

Hands down the best sushi place in my opinion. I'm very picky and particular. Moving out of stays and I swear Nizi is in the top 3 few things I will miss about NJ. spicy tuna roll Shrimp tempura roll Their spicy Mayo Godzilla roll Ice cream tempura made in-house My top favorite things to eat although everything is delicious. Something about this place-- whether it's because of quality of ingredients or freshness but it's unmatched. Best texture. Love And will miss this place.
