Late afternoon, about to close. The roast beef in fridge looks amazing !!! The woman says her husband cooks it every day and he takes great pride in it !!! Couldn't resist; Very friendly, ample parking !!!

While the food is good , as others have stated the service is inconsistent. A week ago i walked in ordered 1 bacon egg cheese sandwich plus just an egg cheese sandwich . Was charged $7 for each when it should have been $7 for BEC and $5.25 for egg n cheese as per their menu signs . This week I went in again ordered one sandwich and asked how much an egg and cheese was . Response was $5.35 . Then I explained to the young cashier how I was overcharged last week . She was very polite while the other young lady behind here - who was the one that overcharged me- started gettig uppity. At which point I said 'And it was her" pointing to this other person ' that overcharged me" . The cashier started to apologize and give me a refund and the uppity one said 'No thats not correct. dont do that" and started arguing with me. I simply responded by saying " i am not here to argue with you guys I am just telling you what happened. This young lady had a major attitude, told me I was wrong and that what I paid was correct etc. I said "well judging by both your menu prices signs I am right. but I guess here the customer is never right." Meanwhile the cashier was very understanding and said 'we will try harder to make sure " ..etc etc which was fine for me. The other person was still with an attitude and closed the cash reg drawer on her. So they lost yet another regular customer.

My regular deli for the last year. Great food, great service and the nicest owners! They know my order as soon as they pick up the phone. A terrific local place for a sandwich! Especially like to chat with Jake, Tessa and Jacqui when I pop in for my take out.

I have been coming here once or twice a week for the last decade but after today never again. I bit my tounge for the last 2 years with them overcharging me $2-3 dollars more then their online menu and price in- store is always inconsistant as well, I chalked it up to the Pandemic. Today was the straw that broke the camels back, I call in for a Turkey sub with gravy (listed on their menu $5.35 knowing well it will cost at least $8 at pickup) the woman answered the phone was unfriendly and stated we don't serve gravy. I responded that my order was placed many times before with gravy she then proceeded to tell me that she thinks they are all out. They lost a good cash paying customer but I suspect based on their attitude they could care less.

If the category "dive delis" was a thing, Mountain Deli would be a leader in the field. The decor gives off 1990s bodega vibes, which is at least partly because some of the furnishings date back to then. Fortunately, you aren't coming here to eat the carpet. I prefer breakfast to lunch at this spot. It's fun to come in and see all the regulars getting their coffee from a hot pot poured out behind the counter, each of them greeted with their first name. The breakfast sandwiches are fresh and tasty, though not too generous of a portion for the price. This place also does a decent job at lunchtime, making deli sandwiches that are in general better than their lunchtime hot sandwiches. Nothing to write home about, but they feature the same fresh food with friendly service that you'd get at breakfast.
