We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday, late morning in the winter. Upon entry the place appeared very cluttered and old school, but it's Cape May so we assumed maybe this was a classic and this was its "charm." While waiting to be seated the staff was very flustered with only two parties ahead of us. Again, we thought, well, maybe they were understaffed as are so many businesses these days. When we were finally seated we were given two menus - the regular and the specials. Both menus looked cluttered, just like the restaurant. What did stand out was the fact that they only serve bottled water at $2.00 each, and so many very basic items were an upcharge to the already steep menu prices (for the type of restaurant it was.) If you wanted to have onions in your home fries, it was an extra $1, peppers keep adding $$. Sausage gravy, an additional $5?! Maple syrup for the already overpriced pancakes, $3.50 - SERIOUSLY?! Another sign on the wall that stood out said they only serve drinks in take out cups. Huh? If I'm paying the prices listed in that menu, I, at least, expect a solid cup for my $6.50 OJ or a coffee mug for my $7 "specialty" coffee. We finally decided what we were going to order, despite our questionable first impression, and waited for the wait staff to come by to ask us what we would like to start. Several waitresses walked right past us over and over again. We waited... and waited..and waited. After 15 minutes of not even being acknowledged, we just gave up and walked out. So, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) we can't speak to the quality of the food, but based on service, atmosphere and being nickel & dimed on the most basic breakfast items we definitely will not be returning to find out.

Terrible. Almost $80 for cold food. Bad tasting cheese in omelets. Staff unresponsive to complaints. Way overpriced - surely heading for a deserved shutdown.

Driest breakfast potatoes I have ever had, all items are ala carte and super expensive. $6.50 for 10oz of fresh orange juice. Go to Ricks by ACME, much

They don't give glasses of water. You have to buy water for $2 a bottle which is nuts. Wait was long. Waitress didn't mention the specials. Totally overpriced. Would avoid this place unless you want to spend a fortune for breakfast.

We had a very pleasant experience here. There was no wait for a table. The waffle with blueberries was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My sister had the chocolate chip pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice, which were both very tasty. I actually appreciated the paper cup for my coffee so I could take what I didn’t finish to-go!

It's a bit pricy compared to other breakfast spots. You get a ton of food and it is delicious! It's worth the visit. We go here every year.Cash only but they have an ATM inside and it only charged $2.They are not allowed to split checks but since it's cash, it's easy to split the check when you're paying.

I dont know where to start. First of all the service was fantastic. Now the bad part. My son had an omelette that was $19 and wasn't cooked in the middle. Coffee $4.50 each? 6 ounces of oj $6 kids 5oz apple juice $4 , daughter in law pancakes not cooked in middle . Total bill $89 asked for a little more coffee but were refused(we dont top off coffee) will never return and encourage all others to avoid this ripoff of s place, there are so many better options

WARNING! Outrageously expensive!!! Two people, 2 orders of pancakes, 1 side of meat, 2 coffees, only serves bottled water ($2 per bottle), for just an average breakfast, $60!!. I don’t understand why you serve drinks in plastic and paper cups, (sign says for sanitary reasons), what about the glass dishes and silverware then, does the dishwasher (machine) washing the dishes not do glasses??? So much waste with all the plastic bottles of water. Also, don’t forget your cash, because they are cash only.

My family and I had breakfast here this week. First of all, they do not provide water as a courtesy to its patrons, but rather charge three dollars a person for water bottles (the only option for water). Also, this is a strictly cash business. I don't know about you, but it makes me wonder about any business in this day and age that does not let you pay by credit or debit. All breakfast entrées are à la cart and cost as much as a complete lunch for the most part ( avg. $15). We ordered pancakes which were medium sized stacks of three. The one that came with whipped cream did not even have whipped cream on top of the pancakes, but rather in a small container on the side of the plate! It also seemed to take an awfully long time to cook and serve these undersized pancakes. Overall this place was over priced and extremely underwhelming.

Wow Not a pleasant inviting establishment “tourist trap” is a more appropriate description from charging full price for coffee and tea refills and water to robotic unfriendly service, there are way to many family run warm inviting places to spend my hard earned money and time together with family and friends.
