Mad Fish company has been a great addition to the island. What started as take-out only has evolved into a full sit down restaurant. The food is delicious, the serving sizes are great and the welcoming nature of Maddie and Gayle are unmatched. This is BYOB with both indoor or outdoor seating. I recommend the combo platter, it’s fresh and plentiful.

We encountered the kindest most down to earth people when we arrived at this restaurant. It is BYOB and there is an excellent liquor store about 5-6 very short blocks north (10-15 min round trip walk). The food was absolutely the freshest scallops and lobster I have had in a while, amazing flavors, very kind staff, extremely welcoming and low key ambiance. Prices for me being from Jersey City were very reasonable for the high fresh quality of food and service we received. Truly a gem in a gem of a town. Highly highly recommend!!

Outstanding food and service. A true GEM in Seaside Park. A small but delicious menu of locally sourced seafood expertly prepared. The Lobster grilled cheese and lobster bisque specials were phenomenal as was the fried flounder. And don't sleep on the mad fries ? My husband could sustain his life on those alone! Thank you to the Madfish crew for truly stellar meals and memories ❤️?

MadFish is the BEST dinner I have had all week at the Jersey Shore. Actually, the BEST meal I have had in months. I will literally be dreaming of this meal I enjoyed until I come back to the shore next year.... August 19, 2024 to be exact. Family owned, locally sourced ingredients and kind, professional staff. A must stop if visiting the area. The food was above average and they put in the extra effort to make sure it hits home. I had a broiled fish and salad, and my partner had a fish sandwich - both were great. Service was also very good and attentive. We sat outside on a nice summer night.

Nice little spot with fresh seafood. We got crab cakes and lobster rolls, which despite being a bit pricey for takeout, were very solid. Get the mad fries, which are very unique and tasty. One of the best spots in Seaside Park

We happened upon this restaurant and are glad we did! The food is fresh and delicious! There are picnic tables outside and some tables inside. We opted to eat outside. We definitely will come back!

I was sent to Madfish by a Seaside Heights local who owned the parking lot by the beach., I didn't want something touristy or fancy... He said Madfish is the place! Let me tell you folks, from the moment we walked in, I've never felt more unwelcome in a restaurant ever. Our greeting was " You can sit anywhere ". That's it. In spite of the fact that there was just one table it took forever for anyone to come to our table. The menu is very limited... but we were ok with that. My niece ordered fried shrimp dinner with the mad fries. We were then informed that they ran out of french fries and they could give us greens and coleslaw. I was really disappointed and I let them know that I even said, that I was really looking forward to trying them as I'd heard they were awesome!!! Blank stare. so she suggested jasmine rice, which sounded better than greens. I ordered the crabcake dinner which was $30. We both asked for water which she brought but let me tell you that was the last time we saw her. after another half an hour someone from the kitchen brought out our dinner. The crabcakes were black I said they're burnt she responded is that burnt to you? I said well they're black, she said I'll redo them for you and stomped off when she brought them back. They were done properly golden brown, but the crab meat was awful like that shredded stuff in a can you buy in the tunafish aisle. and the jasmine rice? Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. I had to get up and go to the cash register for salt and pepper. They earned their one star with the fried shrimp which I would definitely order again, TO GO. Here's the best part, a table came in just a few minutes after our dinner came out... watching them being greeted warmly offered them specials of the day ( really?), and being told there would be a slight wait for the fries. We would have waited for the fries... we already waited 45 minutes... what's another 15? We were never offered the special crab tacos...We never even got another glass of water, they didn't even bring a check. We finished eating and felt really really uncomfortable. So we walked to the register... she rang me up without a word, it was like they were waiting for us to leave. As we left we walked by picnic tables full of happy people with piles of fries on their plates. This was to be a special day at the beach for me and my niece. And to the horrible people at Madfish much as you tried to ruin it, I still love Seaside, and you do not represent it's people.
