We've been to Rare on several occasions and each time it's better than the last. The service is exceptional, they really make you feel like family. The atmosphere is so cozy and the food is consistently delicious.

I chose this restaurant for the reviews I read for our last dinner of 2023. To my surprise the restaurant atmosphere, service, and food presentation was consistent with the reviews however with the exception of our food being served cold. I am not sure what happened exactly however I did notice several tables were left as is after other guests finished their meals and left. No staff cleaned up the tables until about an hour later. The restaurant was full tonight but it seems it was under staffed. The (2) servers seemed overwhelmed trying to handle all the tables and clear it afterwards. It seems Management should have been more plan full and scheduled additional help to cover the reservations. I believe our food was cooked to perfection but left in the kitchen for awhile before being served. This was disappointing. I have mixed feelings about returning to this restaurant. Maybe I’ll give it another chance in the future I don’t know. All these reviews can’t be wrong so I must have come on an off night but it still was disappointing.Parking: Small parking lot, had to find parking around the block not a big deal but could possibly have valet parking on busy nights.

Perfect Friday night dinner. The dining room is beautifully lite with tiny lights making it a beautiful place to dine and relax. I ordered from the prix fixe dinner menu - soup, appetizer, New York strip steak with blue cheese topping and baked potato all for under $50.Can't wait to go back.

We had the best dinner last night @ Rare. First time eating here, have only been to the location as the prior restaurant. Great varied menu and food options for all palates, love that you can get half salads. Staff was en point and wonderful. Caesar salad was fab. Main was filet, cooked perfectly. Others had strip and also the stuffed shrimp. All was eaten quickly and happily Extra points for fabulous bread and a refill of it! Will definitely come back.

Stopped in for dinner with a group of 6 and had a great meal! BYOB which was great. Several people from our party ordered off the 3-course pre-set menu for $49 and they were not disappointed. Their steak was generous in size, well seasoned and cooked perfect. Our waiter, Brendan was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu offering great recommendations. He was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. We would absolutely return and recommend Rare for a wonderful dinner.

I was there on Sunday night I ordered lobster and my son ordered filet mignon and lobster well the lobster wasn’t cooked. I told the waiter and he didn’t do anything or say anything I came home and in the middle of the night I got sick as a dog I am just feeling better today, I’m very disappointed because I was there in June and the lobster was amazing . I had one Sunday has no flavor whatsoever and it was very hard to chew, and parts of it were mushy.

Went to Rare Co. last night for the first time and wanted to leave a review because we all get into the habit of sharing the bad experiences and not the good ones. First off, all of the staff are super friendly, smiling and happy to help whether it's their table or another servers. Too many restaurants lately on LBI where you feel like the staff is doing you a favor by letting you eat there. It's a smaller place like many other restaurants in the area but does not feel crowded. great selection on the menu, everyone in our party loved the food, from apps to dinner everything came out fresh hot and the appropriate amount of time in between, not waiting forever like some places that overbook and not shoved down your throat like they are trying to rush you out the door to seat another party. The food was great and the bill was reasonable, we will definitely go back soon, thanks to the staff there!
