Pretty good sushi. Most people would be grossed out by shop right sushi however it is pretty good and they will make custom rolls for you if you ask. I have noticed a decrease in quality over the last 2 years and the prices have gone up. But overall a 3.5/5 for the fast easy decent sushi.

We like it here. The rice portion is not as large as I would like, same with the fish. The sushi is always fresh. Byob is a plus.

This is my 'go-to' sushi spot in the area. Their sushi is always fresh and presented in a palette pleasing way. Their orange/ginger dressing is fresh and delicious. They do not skimp on the tofu and seaweed in their miso soup unlike other places. The interior is bright and comfy

This place has indoor and outdoor dining and is right by the bay beach for watching the fireworks. We usually have 8-12 people for dinner leading up to the fireworks. Sushi is fresh and very good. Prices are reasonable. Service is always fine. We order appetizers first then rolls to ensure a nice flow so we we are not rushed. Only disappointment was the octopus appetizer- $9 for 5 very thin pieces. Other then that we live the place and the food.

My wife and I had an amazing meal on the patio of the lovely Bay Ave Sushi on an early Friday evening, and everything was terrific. We brought a few locals beers with us since it's a BYOB, and were seated in the screened-in patio area. It was perfect, and our server was sweet and helpful. The white tuna and jalapeno app was a great sampling of, in my opinion, the best fish on the menu. We also ordered the white tuna in a few sushi pieces, and here is where it really shines. It's buttery and extremely fresh. But honestly everything we got was delicious. A unique offering, the Salmon Skin salad, was fabulous. It's a pretty traditional salad, with romaine and ginger dressing (their ginger dressing, fyi, is the best I've had). But what sets it apart is the slices of fried salmon skin on top, seasoned with a little of the meat still intact, and very mild. I liked it way more than I expected. We also tried a few other sushi pieces: walu (from Hawaii), sea bass, salmon and ahi tuna. It was the freshest in the area. Oh, and don't forget to get a side of the crunchy rice! It's amazing, and only $3! I really like the inside as well, there's a modern vibe with tons of clean lines. They take credit cards and are open 7 days a week. I can't wait to go back.

This lovely Asian restaurant has a varied menu that provides a variety of items from which to choose. The food and service were very good and the wait staff was courteous. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely go back for another meal.

We came here before a play at the Gateway Playhouse. The sushi was tasty, with a myriad of choices. There are other items on the menu like tempura if you are not into sushi.

Clean place. Tasty food. Prompt and courteous service. Not to mention you can bring a bottle of your own vino to wash down your meal. Kudos Bay Ave. Sushi.
