Got food poisoning after eating from here for the first time, food was not good at all. Beef in the Lo mein was literally rubbery and raw and did not taste like beef.

Moving from Philly to Ocean City trying to find good Asian food has been a struggle. Shanghai House KILLED IT! Boneless BBQ spareribs were to die for. Cooked perfectly. Crab Wontons were amazing. Veggie Lo mein was good as well. Will be our go to place moving forward.

Certain menu items are great..order the BBQ spare ribs. Our shared entre tonight was supposed to be plain fried rice. We got white rice with soy sauce instead. No eggs, no sesame, no taste. The bill was $35 plus $5 tip--for 2 shrimp spring rolls, 2 large soups, creem cheese wontons (which were filled with raw white onion), and extremely plain fried rice.

Rude delivery women because she could find the right door despite being give address and instructions multiple times, then angry that she only got a 10% tip after being rude. Do better customer service!!

I called for my order and I waited for it for over an hour it came not hot, and then the delivery driver asked for a tip. I would have been more than happy to give somebody a tip if my food came hot and I ordered french fries so of course you want to eat it hot but I did not receive my order hot and then when I called about their delivery driver, asking for a tip and refusing to give me my food she backed her delivery driver up and condoned her actions. I do not recommend this!

While there are a few tables in the restaurant, this is the best takeout Chinese on or off the island, and it's totally worth the drive. We're particularly fond of their tofu dishes. Fried Tofu (w. Sweet & Sour Sauce) Crabmeat w. Cream Cheese Wonton Coconut Bean Curd General Tso’s Bean Curd or General Tso’s Chicken
Food was fantastic and well seasoned. Ordered for delivery - food arrived piping hot and quickly. Delivery lady was very kind and personable. Will order again!

Service was bad as people were rude. Acted out out by everything, had to ask for a bag for soup, I got my soup and walked out. They lost business and a customer. Soup is good but people who are rude will not get my business.

I just ordered from this place. THEY messed up our order then guy came back took the other back. Now once food is in your home in age of Covid it rightfully should be OURS! Anyways, bc the other people who got back the other order were missing the won tons bc it was an accident!! They called and made my mother PAY FOR the missing item that was given to us by mistake! Like you guys messed up NO WE DONT NEED TO PAY!!

We haven't been here in a couple years. But tried it a couple days ago. The food IS ALWAYS FRESH. They also give enough in their combinations platters for two meals. Their prices did go up by $4 or more dollars a meal. But that's the world we leave in

When getting Chinese food in Somers Point I usually go to Ocean Garden. I like the nice airy atmosphere and green colors in the restaurant .. and the cheerful and pleasant people who own it.. It always has a nice feel. This time I went to the Shanghai House as a change of pace. I can tell you I am never going back there again. Entering the icy cold environs of this restaurant and dealing with the owners made think of all the dumpy greasy spoon Chinese restaurants I visited in North Philly. What a drab cold and lifeless place it is. The woman behind the counter was not friendly and the toilet in the bathroom didn't flush and there were no paper towels. This place has serious issues. The food was overpriced and salty.. They demand a $20 minimum purchase for using a bank card and the food isnt good either.. It was overpriced and salty.. The Shrimp Lo Mein had sparce shrimp and vegetables in it. When they gave me my bag of food they didn't even provide napkins! Cheese n crackers! They don't care! I am happy to know there are better options to eat Chinese food in Somers Point.
