We ordered two BBQ beef rib dinners . The portion of ribs for $40.00 each was disappointing. They were thinly cut and looked like scrapes. Basically bones with sauce. We spent a total of $109.00. My husband called back and left a message for the owner to kindly return his phone call, but he never did.

Never disappointed when I order from this establishment. It's a bit pricey but u get your money's worth every time. Tried a seafood hoagie and whatever that sauce was, it was the perfect complement!!

I placed two orders on DoorDash one with 10 wings the other order was the six wing two sides entrée. I asked for one side of mac & cheese, and the other side was the seafood rice they sent over plain yellow rice that was cold, also cold flavorless mac & cheese, and overcooked wings. When I called the place, I explained to them that I requested the seafood rice as one of my sides and they told me that DoorDash should not have advertised the seafood rice as one of the sides which I also told her that’s not my fault that’s what was advertised on DoorDash. I asked the woman on the phone if she can replace it and send me what I originally ordered and she says no because DoorDash should not have put the seafood rice as a side. I explained to her that’s not my issue and could she send me What I originally ordered. She refused to do anything to appease me as a customer got an attitude with me and hung up the phone on me. I do my best to support black owned businesses but once again, you deal with unprofessionalism, and extremely poor customer service. It’s not my fault that DoorDash advertised things wrong and I should have gotten the Entrée that I ordered. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I don’t see it staying open for very long if this is how they operate. Very poor service, and low Quality food. I only gave it one star so that I can write the review. Please dont bother getting food here it is overly priced and really not that good.

Loved the cat fish every time. Always large portions and seasoned well. The lemon pepper chicken wings are also a favorite. I haven't been impressed with most sides. The macaroni salad and greens are good. The kitchen is always very clean!Wheelchair accessibility: Located on first floor with disability parking and easy entry into the building through rear entry and p parking lot.

I had ordered 10 wings (mild) combo which comes with 2 sides (mac n cheese & potato salad), Strawberry lemonade, & peach cobbler. Wings were EXTREMELY OVER COOKED & VERY HARD!!?? Mac and cheese was cheesey & dry at the same time (if that makes sense) as if it had been elbows sitting & they tried to spruce it up w/ cheese sauce (off brand deluxe Mac n cheese) in the microwave nothing "baked" about it! Potato salad & drink were GREAT!! ?So kudos to them for that I was shocked!? My husband got the Chicken Alfredo & Uptown. Portion was HUGE & enough for 2 people, he couldn't finish it all. Or 4 yo (who LOVES pasta) scrapped the Mac n cheese (his favorite) for the Alfredo pasta!? That he did enjoy. I would try again just off of the lunch menu based on the cost of the dinners which is kind of comparable to other soul food restaurants, just with more flavor!??Parking: Free and convenient parking in the back with a rear entrance. If you arrive in the evening or weekend you may have difficulty with parking, as it's under an apartment complex.

I heard good things about this place and May I say that I was NOT impressed. I ordered the catfish and sweet potatoes and cabbage. The cabbage tasted like it's been there for a few days and the catfish was fried in old grease. If this is what you call soul food I will pass! Issa hard NO for me

I love this spot! Its the best place for po’boys anywhere near by. The catfish and the whiting is so flakey and soft. The po’boy bread is pretty soft which I didn’t like when I first saw it, but when I tried it it was perfect. The mac and cheese is also really good. Its creamy but it also has toasted cheese that’s perfectly crunchy!
