Decided to go here after reading some of the reviews… started off well and are waiter was nice. Unfortunately I feel like I could have eaten better road kill. The food is lacking what I can only explain as care. A unseasoned terrible steak, definitely not what I was hoping for. Will not be returning. Actually on my way to McDonald’s.

If I could give 0 in points I would…the sad thing is that the bad points isn’t on the food…the food it’s great…the bad results are for the waitress they have there…her name is Angela…one of the worst rude waitress I’ve encountered in my life! I loved the food…I’ll make sure next time I go I’ll request NOT to have this miserable person as my waitress…she was so rude, I thought I was being punked! ANGELA GO FIND ANOTHER JOB!

Unfortunate to rate this restaurant so low considering the food was decent. However, there were instances of UNPROFESSIONAL behavior that left a NEGATIVE impression. The MANAGER appeared indifferent to customer concerns and did not address issues promptly. In simpler terms, he is a MISOGYNIST, making a comment stating "you know how women are" when complaining about his EMPLOYEE ANGELA being disrespectful. She displayed verbal rudeness and impatience towards my dad, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Couldn't help but wonder if he was being RACIALLY PROFILED... Making unnecessary comments essentially telling him to shut up when he was being asked what he wanted to order? Overall, a really negative way to end the night. Sarah Jane's just lost a family of loyal patrons.

For the first time in my adult life, I believe I witnessed my minority father get racially profiled tonight, and it was by a server named Angela here at Sarah Jane’s.From afar, you can see Angela treating all of her white or “white passing” (me) tables with respect, but my father, who is not white passing and visibly Hispanic, was told to essentially speak when told to and had to withstand passive aggressive remarks throughout his dinner.I must add, all remarks were done within the first five minutes of speaking with Angela. Our drinks weren’t even ordered. She treated myself and my husband (Irish American) with respect, but audibly and visibly treating my Hispanic father, who was sitting at the same table as us, with disrespect.Angela introduced herself to us by telling my mother she was blind and not to point at a menu, but rather read out her choice because my mother should not have expected her to know what she was pointing at. We took it as a joke, laughed, and moved on. She then asks what we wanted to drink and when my father said he wanted another of what he had (pointed at a beer), she proclaimed “I am a waitress, not a mind reader”. (My father didn’t know what he got, as it was recommended by the bar host) when he told Angela this, she picked up his cup, smelled the drink, shrugged, and said she would figure it out. We thought this was weird, but kept the peace. Angela then comes back to bring our drinks and as she’s handing my fathers drink to him, she begins speaking, and when my father begins to thank her, she pointed her finger at him and told him she was not done speaking and to let her finish. She must believe we’re still in the 1860’s, the way she pointed her finger at my minority father and told him she “was not done speaking” and to “let her finish”.I have spoken to the manger and other hosts. To no avail, as they showed lack of concern or care. We have been coming to Sarah Jane’s for some time and have recommended dozens and dozens of people. Through my line of work, I can get messages across to the vast majority of the Tri-State area. I now have no problem retracting my statement that Sarah Jane’s is an establishment to support. I am repulsed by Angela’s actions and fear we live in a world where people like that still exist.Angela, I am a mental health therapist and would love for you to step foot in my office one day. I can help you with the pain you are harboring. It’s a shame because the food tastes delicious, but with a server like Angela, the food sure does leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Beet restaurant for miles! I’ve had Caesar salad, burgers, and cheesecake before but never like it was here. Other restaurants’ food truly pales in comparison. Fantastic atmosphere and service! 10/10

We went on a Saturday which is usually crowded. We went at 4:30 to avoid the rush. There were not a lot of patrons. However, we were sat in the corner table by the fire exit which I thought was strange. We were seated and serviced right away. My wife and daughter orderes the French Onion soup which they said was really good. And, my wife ordered the stuffed mushrooms and scallops which she said was excellent. I had the mozerella sticks with the Shrimp Scampi. Both, of which were good. A decent amount of the mozerella sticks to share and the shrimp were the large size. However, I've always been confused as to why, when you're going to need to touch the shrimp, they leave the tails on. My daughter ordered the steak and shrimp which she said was really good. Overall, the wait staff was attentive and very amiable. The place was reasonably priced.Parking: For the size of the restaurant, the parking is adequate. However, the spots themselves are small-ish and if you go when it's crowded, you kind of make your own around the side.
