I love this cozy spot in the main downtown of South Amboy. Their coffee and breakfast sandwiches are good, which is exactly what I needed. The Java Dave's special is my perfect order with pork roll (or bacon), egg and cheese with a hash brown. The girls working there are very sweet and attentive. Check it out if you're in the area.Parking: There's street parking, but you normally don't have to park far if you can parallel park.

Stopped here tonight for the first time after visiting a local park. Cappuccinos were tasty and well priced for the size of the drink. Will be back if we're ever in the area again.

We both had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. My wife and I were both pleasantly surprised by the food and the coffee. Although nothing was greatbreaking, they did a great job delivering a classic sandwich with a decent cup of coffee.

Fresh coffee and most importantly it’s a really good roast. We need more coffee shops like this. NJ has too many Dunkin’s or Starbucks. Their sandwich menu is perfect. Overall it’s a great cafe to relax at.

Great coffees and milkshakes! The owner is the sweetest, kindest, and generally happy person I've ever met. He always remembers everything about our family when we stop in and always has the most genuine conversations. It is clean and bright and I always start my workday in a great mood after stopping for coffee at Java Dave's. One of my favorite places in South Amboy.

This is a small little deli on Main Street - glad I found it! I always try to find local coffee shops no matter the area I’m in and this place was a sweet little gem! The coffee was excellent! I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area or close by.

I stopped here from a run for a coffee with oat milk and light sugar. The staff was so friendly and the coffee was 100% fresh. I highly recommend!

Sometimes the best discoveries come by accident. I was in a rush, but wanted to get an iced coffee. It just came about that this place, Java Dave's just popped up in front of me. I went in, and was just simply impressed by it. I immediately liked it, and in addition to my coffee, wound up in addition, getting their signature breakfast sandwich, the Java Dave's, a great combination of pork roll, egg, cheese, and a full sized hash brown. The sandwich was quite substantial, and done well. With the great sandwich, the coffee became secondary.As far as atmosphere goes, I can truly say that this has all the ambience of a neighborhood breakfast joint. Everyone is in a relaxed mood, and the service greeted me like an old friend. Things like that are essential to a good time, and Java Dave's gave me just that.Vegetarian options: Not much hereKid-friendliness: Smiling friendly serviceParking: Parking on the street nearby is at a premium, owing to the store being in the middle of a downtown business district.Wheelchair accessibility: You can get in with little difficulty, but space inside is not much. Bought 2 coffees one Coffee cup leaked. They offered to replace both and I was finally able to return after a unexpected detour in work travels..very good coffee..

After trying a few local coffee shops, I want to say that this one us the best. Me & my boyfriend really liked Prep in old bridge, but after we moved farther away we were looking for a spot closer to us. This place is a small spot that we might have overlooked if we had not found this place on yelp. When we went to check the place out, there was no one there, but us. They have a whole bunch of coffee options, and have come breakfast/lunch sandwiches, and some random food items like quesadillas. I felt like the prices were pretty fair, and would recommend trying this place out.

Got a cold brew and a pork roll egg and cheese on a roll today. Cold brew was very good. Pork roll egg and cheese was stacked out on a really good roll. Prices were very fair. Will definitely be back.
