This Italian restaurant has been around since about 1930. I have been there a few times and it's good. I was there on St Patty's and it was a madhouse in there. Our server was amazing considering how many tables she had. The pizza was good, but not great unfortunately. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. That being said, it's lasted so long for a reason and I'll go back.

Got my first dried out, reheated pie today. After all these years. What a disappointment. Ordered a small pie w sausage. They gave me a large one. Said it was my lucky day. When I got home I realized why. It was anold pie reheated with sausage thrown on top. Such a bummer. I’ve always loved their pizza.

Growing up and eating in Sciortino’s in Perth Amboy and now living out of state, it sure did it bring good memories. Just like I remember it, best pizza in town.

Stopped by on St. Patrick’s Day. We had very tasty corn beef sandwich. The staff at the bar were friendly and attentive. Great stop.

We love server Liz!! She was patient, attentive and funny! It's agreed the service here is amazing. I love their eggplant and Caesar salad. Calamari and veggies are good too - but it's definitely their delicious and one-of-a-kind red sauce that steals the show! Enjoyed the Cabernet recommended by our waitress as well. The atmosphere is cozy and our family always greatly enjoys coming here.

We have been ordering to go from this establishment for years and usually like the food but are unhappy with the service, mainly because they don't go over and beyond the call of duty. They charge extra for everything and don't add items you would normally get if you dined inside. We have ordered extra portions and a bag was left behind. They don't care to call you to say this happened and try to work something out from r pickup or a credit. Disappointing!!!

Leo Getz knew best...NEVER GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU! Ya know why?We were going through South Amboy and decided to order from Sciortino's in South Amboy instead of our usual Camillo's in Sayreville.Melissa CLEARLY said, "Two linguini with marinara sauce."We waited 35 minutes. I paid the bill and the receipt CLEARLY read "spaghetti with marinara sauce." And the bill...with a salad added was $57.When we got home and opened the bag...two spaghetti with MEATBALLS.I called back and they immediately put me on hold. Changed course and ordered from Camillo's. Ready in 10 minutes. TEN minutes and HALF the price! We've often ordered pizza from Sciortino's and it's been pretty good. This was our first time ordering something other than pizza...and it will be our last.

I've been here so many times, how did I forget to drop this place a 5 star? It's simple, wholesome, home cooked Italian food with the best sweet sauce you can find!

My grandma lived in Perth Amboy for 80 years and the original Sciortinos was quite delicious way back when. This restaurant in South Amboy is disappointing. The waitress and service was lovely. But that is the end of the positives. The price point is way too high for pizza and a soda. But where this places really falls apart is the food. The pies are not good. They taste too doughy and I was full after two small slices. I suspect they are not made on the spot? but are already ready and then just dumped into the pizza oven. I ordered meatballs on my pizza and instead I get this grinded down meatball substitute. Bring back fresh pies!! Bye bye

We were there celebrating a young granddaughter's birthday after a performance at NJPAC. Several in our group were interested in pizza, and our daughter & son-in-law say the pizza is always great there. They were right! We ordered several appetizers, 2 large pizzas, a large Caesar salad, various sodas and two really nice and reasonably priced glasses of wine. Service was quick, thoughtful and very responsive to our varied age groups(we had a 98 year old, and ages all the way down to a 2 year old), and everyone was pleased with our meal. We weren't rushed, and had a great time!Kid-friendliness: Very kind to our grandchildren, who were well-behaved for the most part.Wheelchair accessibility: Our 98 year old uses a quadcane and walker, though he decided with us to use only the quadcane there, since it was a bit busy when we arrived. He was safe.

Wow this is not the same place it used to be. Stopped in after my son's game and can't believe that the food went so downhill. The pizza used to be exceptional. Today it tasted like a store bought frozen pizza. I had ordered clams but they had no flavor. Very disappointing to say the least.
