Occasionally order lunch from this deli.Disappointed with the flounder fish sandwich. Did not appear fresh, more like frozen fish patties from fast food restaurants. Definitely not worth the inflated pricing for this low quality sandwich.

This used to be one of my favorite sub shops in Bergen County but since my last visit 8 months ago their prices have gone up by 30% at least. Their menu has also changed for the worse. The guy making my sandwich had trouble figuring out the ingredients in it. Still a decent sandwich but not at those prices.

Heavy portion of meat. Bread was descent. Service was quick. Kind've pricy for a sandwich.

I went to Clemente's today for the first time. There wasn't much of a pastry selection. They had decent looking cookie selection. I got some canolli. They were fresh but I found it a little sweet. My mom liked it but she like anything Italian lol. The salads looked suspect. I don't understand why they use carrots in mushroom salad and seafood salad. That's really turned me off. The stuffed peppers with cheese and prosciutto looked old. They were very faded In color and looked old. I got some mozzarella ball salad. That was the only one that looked good. It was ok nothing great. A little bland but ok I guess. Nothing compared to Latona's in Garfield. Latona's everything looks and tastes better than the next. I guess always having access to the best sets the bar kind of high. I read below that the sandwich is massive. Ummmm I see two maybe four pieces of meat. I guess low expectations is a good thing to some.

Visited today for the first time. Excellent sandwich. Place was clean. Employees were nice and eager to help. Ordered a Clemente Special sandwich and it was excellent. Fresh bread, flavorful meats and thick cuts of fresh mozzarella. Thanks guys!

The best , great coffee , great bread , great cookies and pastries, the Prosciutto di Parma sandwich with home made mozzarella, and home baked bread is to die for , this NYC/ North Jersey Siciliano makes a beeline for this place every time I pass through Teterboro. Cheers !!!!

I love this place. I've been coming here for 8 years now and I stop in a few times per month. My review of the place is honestly 5 stars, but hopefully this gets the attention of management because I'm really tired of ordering a sandwich and having the people behind the counter make up a price based on how they're feeling at that moment. You have a digital menu on tv screens. If your pricing increases / decreases for certain items / sandwiches then adjust it accordingly. I've paid 6 different prices for the same sandwich over the past 3 months, but today was just ridiculous. I ordered a full sized domestic prosciutto and fresh mozzarella sandwich, which is $9.50 on your tv menu right in front of the counter, and I added roasted peppers. The guy hands me my sandwich and I walk around the store thinking I may buy something else, but then I look at the sticker and see $14 for my sandwich. So I'm thinking I was just charged $4.50 to add roasted peppers to my sandwich. I go back and say I think you guys made a mistake on the pricing. Explained what I ordered and the response was "O yeah that menu isn't accurate, pricing went up". I left it alone, paid for my sandwich, and l left. This happens all the time here. Either it's false advertising or your employees are given authorization to charge whatever they'd like. Either way it's not right. If you read this review and plan on stopping here for a bite to eat, TAKE MY ADVICE......... I'd recommend asking upfront what your sandwich / item is going to cost before you place the order so there's no confusion over what you're about to pay. Food is excellent though, just be aware the pricing on the menu is most likely not what you're about to pay when you checkout.

Well worth the 2 hour drive for me!!! We ate lunch there and bought some pasta, bread, sauce and of course some sweets!! I learned about Clemente on Tiktok and had to go and try it out! Had the opportunity to meet Vita and she is so friendly and easy to talk to. I HIGHLY recommend. We will be returning.

Hidden away in the industrial section of South Hackensack is the best salumaria, lattaria and bakery in all of NJ. The best house made mozzarella and buratta. So much better than anything in Hoboken. All of its prepared food is beyond belief great. The seating area is nice; its not a restaurant. It gets very busy at lunch for good reason; its great. I generally don't like ricotta cheesecake, however, theirs is sublime. They have samples of their baked goods to feast upon while you choose. The owners and their children who run the place speak Italian! It is a retail outlet of a renowned commercial baker for authentic Italian bread, etc. It is better than Dom's in Hoboken. Their frozen pizza fills my freezer. They serve it fresh too at the retail store. You have to try their grilled octopus. I'm not a relative. I'm a native New Yorker transplanted to NJ whose father was a restaurant owner. You can take my word on this one.

I am baffled that I noted today the same sandwich I purchased 3 times, same size, same cold cuts and add ons has been 3 different prices over the past 6 weeks. I paid 12.00, 14.00 and 17.00 and the same angry sandwich maker made it all 3 times. Could he be weighing the sandwich for a price????? The sandwich was okay but I need to monitor the price every time. I don't want to be rude but how do you address this?????

Best customer service and food. good customer service. Had a minor problem with an Uber delivery but Julia took care of it right away and made sure another order was sent to me. A lot of places should take notes from Clemente bakery on their customer service. Food was amazing. Delicious and fresh I will Deff be ordering from here again.

This is one of the places that I used to eat lunch at when I worked in the area many years ago. I had a craving for an Italian hero with fresh mozzarella and a surge of nostalgia. I was happy to see that the place is larger and has a larger parking lot. I forgot how friendly the proprietors are and great memories came rushing back! I got the Clemente special and devoured it. The pizza looked amazing and I will try that next time. Going back for another sandwich soon even though I no longer work down the street.

Random how I found this little jewel in S. Hackensack. I have been on a hunt for a new italian deli since moving from JC. (Yes, its been a while since I moved.) I found a solid chx cutlet place but still hadn't found my cold cut deli with good fresh mozz. I bought a random pastry at Maywood market and saw the name and after a simple google search found out the origins of the yummy pastry also makes sandwiches! Since I found out about this place, I've been stopping by every other week. Oh, I tried to go more frequently but a few times they were closed. So for those we are venturing out, make sure they are open before you go. I'm still trying things out so can't give a full verdict but so far it makes me want to come back to try other items so that's a good sign.
