Great local place. Food is great, service is great and prices are very reasonable with generous portions.UPDATE: Hubby and I went for lunch. First, the place was practically empty. Our waitress, who btw is typically exceptional, got stuck breaking down a bill for a large party. We didn't get waited on for 15 minutes. Ok...no harm done until we got our Chicken Caesar salads(hardly any dressing). They were SO small. My husband had one drink which was a single malt sotch...three items...$60.00 without the tip. Absolutely ridiculous. We're done with this place, I think... not sure what happened with it. ?

Unfortunately this location has been a disappointment the last several times I have been there. If you are seated at the bar, you get amazing service. The bartenders are quick to get refills and ordering your food. If you are seated in the dining area, which has been my experience as of late, it takes an extremely long time to order or get anything.The most recent time, 3/9/2024, we(party of 2) sat down at 6 and ordered an app of mozzarella sticks, then a chicken sandwich, boneless wings and a salad for our meals. The app came out after we'd been sitting for 30 minutes. Our meals did not arrive until after 7. A table of 4 that sat after us had already received their meals while we were still waiting for ours. The boneless wings were overcooked because it took some effort to cut them up. My sandwich was a bit overcooked at well. The highlight of the meal were the mozzarella sticks, French fries, and chipotle mayo. We waited to get and then pay the bill. A meal that should have lasted maybe an hour or so lasted an hour and 45 minutes.Overall there seems to be a lack of urgency by the front of the house, and back of the house. I don't expect to be checked on every 5 minutes, but it feels like the waitstaff disappears for an extended period unable to be found. I used to enjoy coming for bingo and trivia, but the lack of service has really pushed us to go to the other MJ's and other spots.

We had a great lunch today with 13 adults to celebrate 2 birthdays. The appetizers are really good. My favorite is garlic parmesan wings. The drinks were good with fun names. Our lunch was great and the portions are big. Our server was very good. Her name was Sharon and she was friendly and attentive. She pretty much handled our large group by herself. I recommend mjs Spotswood

We go there for trivia nights on Thirsdays. The food is decent but unremarkable.
After a fun filled day at the movies, tricking my man into believing he was gonna see Super Mario only to have him watch the twisted mind of Evil Dead....... Tatted Stache and Chels Bells with the two of us sauntered on down to MJ's Entering the establishment reminded me of a down home sports bar and grill.We all decided that a smorgasbord of apps was gonna be most delightful. An order of Bavarian Pretzels made me feel as if I was in the Dark Forest, eating and enjoying each bite I looked for Hansel and Gretel nearby.Calamari that the tatted lovers ordered was as fresh as if plucked from Davy Jones locker that morning!The vodka pizza, thin crust with the perfect crunch. Although I didn't feel the buzz from the sauce.Pulled pork sandwich has great flavor, bun was a little too big for my liking. But the pork made me go wee wee wee all the way home.The friendliest waiter I've ever had. Eating at MJ's was like eating at the Goat's house himself and a sure fire slam dunk!

I recently visited MJ's in Spotswood and had an amazing dining experience! The bacon burger I ordered was absolutely delicious - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The bacon added a delightful crunch and smoky flavor that elevated the burger to a whole new level. The pizza appetizer was also fantastic - crispy crust, gooey cheese, and flavorful toppings that left me craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend MJ's to anyone craving a mouthwatering burger and tasty pizza appetizers!
