“I am a big sandwich guy and this is exactly the type of place that I am always searching for. I was in the area looking for food places that I’ve never tried and I came across Big Wally’s and they did not disappoint. The selection of hot and cold sandwiches was almost too much to decide, so I asked the guy behind the counter what the most popular sub was and he said the Poore Boy so I ordered that and added a Porkinator from the pulled pork specials he also recommended. There is no seating inside so I ate in my car and after had to go back in to thank them for the recommendations and tell them how good the sandwiches were.We need more places like this. There was no tabouli sauce, and served w pickles,cabbage,spices on an interesting bread that was sort if a cross between a pita a roll.. “I saw the Mr. Subs sign on Rt 18 in East Brunswick a few times going through town. Today my wife and I took a shot and got an Italian Sub for lunch… HOLY COW… what a fantastic sandwich!!! Been living in this town for about 8 years now and I believe this is the first time I can honestly say that this Deli knows how to make an amazing hero, and I've tried almost all of them. “This is the absolute best gluten free bread my family and I have ever had and we have tried ALOT of gf breads. We have had to order gluten free bread on many occasions from California because that was the only good one we could find, so to have an even BETTER one available right here in NJ is such an unexpectedly amazing find. It is so hard to find fresh, soft gf sour dough bread and if you’re gluten free you know how amazing it is to finally find something that is actually delicious and tastes like bread! I visited the cafe today and the staff was so helpful, kind, and generous and gave me a lot of helpful information on the bread. I will definitely be ordering more online!“

Perfect amount of oil/vin on my Italian combo, wife went no tomato on hers and ended up with a bit too much lettuce. That said, easy fix to take off. Deep river chips available, love that. The sandwich isn't huge, but it gets the job done.“
