“We spent Sunday thru Friday in New Jersey. We visited Heights 27 on Tuesday night and the tacos were excellent. We returned Wednesday night to more great food and atmosphere. Everyone in my group agreed that if we lived nearby, we would visit often!“

“This was an absolute hidden gem! We were trying to find something midway for our friends meeting us and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Our waiter was super nice and provided great service. They even accommodated a special request of clams on the half shell, and they were great. Shrimp scampi over linguine was tasty and lobster ravioli was delicious and even came with half a lobster tail. Desserts were great too. Definitely will be back. Ambiance was a little dated, but it was clean including the bathrooms.“

The atmosphere is average, nothing crazy but nothing horrible either. All in all great place that could use a bit of fine tuning. “Really great upscale bar food plus! Maria was a fabulous server and recommended the zucchini blossoms which were awesome. We had a burger, fish tacos, tuna app, and chix empanadas which were all top notch. Good drinks and wine. Looking forward to a return visit. Tight quarters so make a reservation.“

Drinks are great and they have a good selection of liquors. “On an ordinary day, we go here for beers and a burger with cottage fries and always have the best time. I have to mention this weekend specifically though because we had our wedding after party here. The owner, Kevin, is truly one of the nicest people and always provides service with a genuine smile. He is courteous and made all of our family and friends feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our evening. Even in the busiest moments, Kevin and staff managed to be accommodating and attentive. Cannot say enough enough about this place, the family and the staff. Wonderful!“

“Took a daytrip to Belmar and decided to check out Anchor Tavern. The bartender Lindsey was friendly and accommodating. She recommended the wings which were cooked perfectly with their house bbq. 10/10! Manager Emerald made me feel welcomed and was very pleasant to talk to. Great service, great atmosphere. I imagine the Anchor is the place to be in the summer time. Check it out!“

“I've been here many times, so I'm surprised I have never written a review. Last night, I had the ahi tuna tacos because I wasn't that hungry and they do not come with any sides. My friend had the filet mignon with cheese on an English muffin which was kind of a weird combination but she said it was okay. I forget the exact titles of what my other friends ate, but there are pictures here showing their food.“

“I travel for work. I come to this area twice a year. I have visited BHT 3 times now. My first time was a less than stellar visit. The host who seated me was polite all three times. My server never smiled, and during the whole visit, it made me feel like I was an inconvenience. She took my order and disappeared. Another staff member brought me my drink and appetizer. That is not unusual for this type of business. A while later, my meal came. While I ate, I could see my server talking with the host or up at the bar. Her body language indicated she wasn't having a good night. At no time did she ever come to check on me. She seemed more interested in talking to other staff while they worked. Every day at work isn't always going to be a good day, I understand that. Once finished with my meal, I had to wait for almost 25 minutes to get my check. Then, after taking my card, it took her almost 15 minutes to return for my signature. I was not impressed.6 months later, I returned. I saw the same waitress wearing the same aggravated look and was thankful she wasn't my server. Unfortunately, this server, an older woman, wasn't much better. The food was good, and being that I was staying at the Hampton Inn across the street, it was convenient. The service was again slow to a fault. You'd think I wouldn't return.This brings us to last night. Once again, the food was good and convenient. I had actually looked on Google Maps to find someplace else. I read a lot of reviews to see what others may have thought. There were several with similar experiences, but those were 4 months or older. So I decided to chance it. I am glad I did. Bryan was my server. I didn't see either one of my previous servers around. Bryan was attentive and had a positive attitude. He checked up on me often and was a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, this time, I was the problem. Being the bonehead, I can be from time to time, I left my wallet across the street in my room. I asked for a manager, and expecting pushback, I explained my mistake. He understood and allowed me to leave so I could return with my wallet. When I did, I was met by Bryan with the same positive attitude. Needless to say, I will be returning during my next visit to the area. It was nice to see that they had listened to the reviews and made corrections. I definitely will recommend this establishment. ?“

“We dine at the Alehouse pretty much on a weekly basis. Everything is always fresh and delicious. My husband loves the Justin-and Turkey Justin when it’s a special (it should be a regular item!). I love their California burger, scampi wings, and chicken francaise! Our son loves their mushroom/swiss burger. We also love their tuna bites and bar pies. The wait staff is super friendly.“

“Have had enjoyable experiences in past three years....then Saturday, Dec 9, we had a terrible experience.1. Our reservation made on the 9th was acknowledged when we entered. We were told it would be a few minutes while our booth was cleared and to be seated. About ten minutes later a couple sat next to us. The receptionist that told us to wait,told the couple next to us that a booth was available to them. She then told us no booth was available for us.2. We were seated in the back room. Placed our order for two delicious cocktails and one Bavaria pretzel and one Bavaria pretzel to take home; one order for beef stew and one order for chicken piccata.3. The empty 4tables around us were filled and shortly thereafter received their orders.finished and left.4. After 1 hour and a half the waitress,who was busy, came to us and said our orders were given to another table! Also,our beef stew order couldn't be completed because they ran out of beef stew !!In our years going to Huddy's from the strip mall to the new location, we never have experienced such a frustrating and unenjoyable experience. “My sibling and I decided to drop her for dinner tonight. We were able to sit outside because of the nice weather. I had my dog with me so outdoor seating was perfect. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came out quickly. I had a Maine lobster roll, which was very good with a salad. My sibling ended up ordering the Guinness stew and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd come back.“

“Came here for the first time and had a great dinner. The manager and the server were very friendly. The food was so good. Very large menu with so many things to choose from. The antipasto pretzel was so delicious. It was very very loud. There was a football game on and the volume was way too loud. Other than that will be coming back.“
