Be careful when buying meat such as lamb shanks. I bought 3 packages and when I got home I immediately put them in my freezer with the intension of cooking them at a later date. Two weeks later I defrosted 2 packs (4 shanks) and upon opening the vacuum sealed packages I gaged due to the rancid odor in both packages.
