We were randomly in the area running some errands and we found this little gem! We stopped by for a late lunch. We got the Bulgogi kimbap, fried chicken, and the royal rice cakes. Our little one appreciated the Dino nuggies. Haha Everything was delish. We'll be back!

But I can confidently say that Mama Hen House is BY FAR THE BEST Korean Bunsik restaurant in New Jersey — Bunsik means Korean snack/street food.❤️ If you want some authentic Korean Bunsik food, this restaurant is the place to go!! Can you say AMAZING? We did a wing tour for my husband's 40th birthday and sampled wings from 4 spots in NJ and this was hands down our favorite spot. The staff is kind and efficient (Jenny was so helpful). The wings were so crispy and delicious. The flavors we tried were unique - Korean curry and honey bee glaze - can I say WOW? Also the truffle fries were such a nice compliment. We will definitely be back!!!

There are more traditional Korean spots in the area and this is not a Korean bbq spot. But what Mama Hen House does, they do very well for the most part. The two menu items I can confidently recommend are the kimbap and the Korean fried chicken. I'm Korean and grew up eating kimbap on every family road trip and many family gatherings. This kimbap is the real deal. It came warm and with the end pieces included! We got the bulgogi kimbap and I want to try the other options now. The fried chicken was plentiful, flavorful and fried perfectly. We got the mid tier sweet and spicy. I also love that it comes with the pickled white radish kimchi, goes great with this dish. Their Nappa cabbage kimchi is very very good too. We also tried the ramen which had a tasty savory broth with the right amount of heat to it but too many onions imo. The fried rice was tasty but a bit oily. We got galbi too but I didn't get to try any as my daughter crushed it--so I'm guessing it was good.

We drove past today and saw that this had recently opened. We parked next door in the free community parking lot and walked over.The place is super cozie, the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing!We got boneless wings and gimbap and they were both wonderful.
