When I tell you, me, and my party of 15, had a wonderful time, the music was good the food was out of this world. All of my party guesses had no complaints that was the best food I had in my life better than my mother food. Me and my friends are planning our next meet up at Shawnee’s lol. She was a wonderful host, her and her staff they accommodated my party to the maximum.
The lamb chops was slamming BUT to long of a wait for your food. Also the waiter and waitress needs a uniform very sloppy. Then you need a bar. The byob is not for me.

It was my first time in this lovely restaurant and I was impressed by the Asian/Soulfood theme. I wasn't sure what to expect but I live soul food as well as Chinese food so I gave it a try. OMG! The food was AMAZING ? ? ?. The fried chicken wings were a nice size and the crunchy tasty wings were done just right! The Soul Fried Rice was sooo good with shrimp, beef, chicken, and a little bit of some type of green vegetable. The flavor of test rice was so good. No soy sauce was needed. What really took me to heaven was the Cornbread Eggrolls with Strawberry butter on the side. Omg! Talk about lip smacking and Finger lickin Good!!!! That was the tastiest egg roll that was like a dessert. So crunchy on the outside, and the cornbread inside, then dipping it in that Strawberry Butter was sensory overload. I had to pick up my phone in between licking my fingers to call Shawnees to tell her how good this food is! I'm hooked now and will be treating myself yo this restaurant again. I'm going to have to tell all my friends and family about this hidden gem. I just hope that nothing changes. I still have to try the other things on that menu! The prices were very reasonably as well! I advise you to try it and see for yourself. I am not a relative nor was I paid to write this review. I'm just a very happy customer and so glad that I stumbled across this place which is around the corner from my Physical Therapy clinic in Teaneck. Try it! You will thank me later! ?

First time here and the food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Tried quite a few items on the menu and nothing disappointed. Food was also served in big portions. My little girl was greeted and treated so nicely by the staff who were so friendly and welcoming. Cant wait to come back and try other dishes.
If there is a zero to this review I’ll put zero. We went to this restaurant very excited because they have a promising menu online. We get in, we just sat on the where table where no one is sitting because there is no staff to sit us down. We waited for 30 minutes before staff came and asked for our order. We ordered and we asked if we can have the drinks first , which they served for another 30 minutes. We waited and waited and waited until an hour, we waited because we are so excited for the food turns out we waited for 2 hours for nothing. We decided to left , with headache and we are starving! If they have problem in the kitchen like no one can cook, they should have told us so we can find another restaurant . Very disappointing!

The food was so great and the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was on point. I do not like rushed service and I am patient with my food being prepared. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves with a bottle of MJB Sun Goddess Wine. We will definitely be back.
