The staff lack hygiene. One of the guys came out of the kitchen, his clothes were filthy.

Pros1. Both chicken lollipop and chicken curry tasted great2. Not expensive at allCons1. Run by two nice folks who were also cooks. This meant that it was hard for them to balance both service and cooking efficiently2. Indoor needs an update, pronto. If you want no frills, cheap but good food (esp delivery) would recommend, but if you want to eat in keep expectations in check. Fine dining this is not

I've been to many Indian places in New Jersey, but the food at this place is the most delicious and authentic Indian foods. The owner cooks and his wife welcomes the guests very kindly. I always enjoying the food with an appreciation. Specifically I recommend Chicken Vindaloo if anyone loves spicy.

Excellent food! We had the butter chicken and lamb saag (which came with rice), garlic naan and mango lassi, and will definitely go back!

So I've been to most of the Indian food places in the area and I can say this is the most fair. Their naan is priced at $2 where everywhere else it is closer to $4 each. If you become a regular customer and the know your face the will throw in some extras from time to time. Overall most things I've tried are good, but sometimes the samosas can be oily, but the chutney sauce always hits. Give them a try.

I wish I can share a good experience about this place because the dishes we ordered (lamb and okra) were superb, but the service was so bad I couldn't let it pass. The server didn't greet us, nor smile. He just put down 2 bottled water without saying anything. Then he came back about 20 seconds after handing us the menú, and just stood there waiting for us to order something. I asked if we were getting charged for the bottled water and when he said yes, I asked for tap water. But instead, he gave us room temperature bottled water and still got charged. He never checked us during our meal, and I had to go to the kitchen to let him know we're done and ready to go. If I could give NO stars for service I would. The only service we received technically was when our leftovers were packed to go. I hope it was just because it was off hours, or maybe because we're not from the same culture as his. We've been to a few Indian restaurants in Bergen county, and based from this experience, I would NOT recommend this place.

We ordered food from Taste of India using GrubHub. We ordered vegetable samosas, a mango Lassi, garlic Naan, goat biryani, chicken tikka masala, and palak paneer (Spinach with small cubes of cheese). The food was actually pretty tasty, unfortunately the tikka masala and palak paneer were way too spicy. It wasn't their fault, so we reordered those two dishes, specifically writing "not spicy, please." We got another delivery of food, it was just as spicy. We called the restaurant to complain and after some arguing they agreed to remake the tikka masala and palak paneer. We went to pick up the food and brought it back home. Still just as spicy. We understand if there is food that cannot be made "unspicy" (like if it is made beforehand at a certain spice level), but if that were the case they should have told us up front. Never eating or ordering from there again.

Truly I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is absolutely delicious. Some of the most flavorful food I have ever had. We got-- appetizer sampler with all vegetarian options. Everything on the plate was delicious. Delicious dipping sauce Also garlic naan. Came out hot and perfectly fluffy/crispy on the bottom. Chicken tikka massala-- some of the best tikka Masala I've ever tested. Ever. Chana Masala-- also incredibly flavorful, chickpeas texture was perfect Service was attentive and fast. Will absolutely be back here!! Thanks to the staff!
