Went in for a quick lunch, love the fact that they gave me miso soup with my general Tsao's Tofu! Great real Chinese vibe, serve the fried noodles with hot mustard and Sweet sauce! I will definitely be back. I was discouraged though because the online prices said lunches were nine dollars then when we got there they were all $11 still a decent price& a good portion. My boyfriend had the shrimp with Chinese vegetables and the shrimp were nice.

I heard such great things about this restaurant. I ordered miso soup, seaweed salad and general tso tofu. The miso soup was lukewarm, very good just not hot enough. But the seaweed salad and general tso tofu was incredible!! Only issue I had was general tso tofu it was not hot enough. The spice was perfect the tofu crisp was amazing. I will definitely eat here again.

Been here twice for lunch & love the place. Very clean, more upscale for a local Chinese/Japanese place in this Neptune area. Once, we had the sushi and Chinese lunch specials and they were very filling & delicious. The specials come with miso soup and salad (carrot ginger dressing). The other time I went, I had Singapore Mei Fun and it was delicious too! I've had the same server both times and he's got a great attitude. Very funny guy. Not only do I feel it's a great place to meet for lunch, the atmosphere would be nice venue for a group lunch or dinner as well.

This place is perfect for takeout. I'm weary of places that do multiple types of cuisine, but this place pulls it off. The sushi is always fresh and if you're ordering from the Chinese menu, everything is excellent. The service has always been very good as well. Plenty of room in her is never away if you want to sit down.
I have been here multiple times. Each time the staff was pleasant and friendly. Everything is always hot and delicious. I highly recommend for lunch, dinner, or take out.

So I decided to take my wife here for dinner but we were disappointed. The food was bland and tasteless. We had some soup to start the evening but it was cold and the soup noodles that came with it were stale. Our entrees were not very good either. We've been coming here for years trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt but it's been consistently below average every time we visit. So we're done.

Pick from sushi, Malaysian, Thai, and Chinese food. It's the best in Tinton Falls, Asbury, Neptune, area. If you are within 15 minutes of this place, you won't find another asian place to beat Asian Star Cafe. BYOB. By far, the best General Tso Chicken I had, and the same goes for Beef Lomain. The Malaysian spicy coconut chicken soup is my favorite dish so far. It's expansive for the takeout, but wel worth it for the quality. It's also a great place to dine in.
