Was reluctant to leave this review but it's happened too many times I've come here. First, the aggressiveness of the associate the minute you step into the store they are asking what you want. My hand wasn't even off the door from entering before one girl ran to the counter and said can I help you. I said please give me a few minutes. There are a lot of things to choose from. Also the associates are not friendly at all and act annoyed, like you are bothering them. Zero personalities. Young girls I'd say all in their 20's. Second, the pastries all taste the same and were not fresh. You can tell a fresh pastry from one that's been sitting in the case for days. These ones I purchased were days old. This place is pricey; the items should be fresh. I stopped going to Caputo's years ago because they are also subpar. Long gone are the good bakeries.

This place is delicious, reasonably priced, and overall wonderful. The cakes, cookies and cupcakes are amazing and fresh. Same with the bread. Being a north jersey girl, I’ve had a hard time finding a good bakery around here and south but this by far is the best. Super tasty and authentic.

Walked into this bakery due to a local recommendation and a review of the website which states they do custom cakes. This cake was for my daughters birthday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by an attitude that immediately told us "a custom birthday cake had an upcharge". Ok but we were reminded 4 times during the transaction. We were not looking for a bargain. There website is 100% false advertising. This is a glorified coffee shop with added pastries in the case. In no way were they accommodating to anything custom. The boss woman than came out and reminded us of the upcharge once again! We told them we were originally from north jersey and were used to easily ordering custom cakes every year. They asked "why don't you go back there"?? What!!! When they finally called us back with a price they quoted us $90 for a basic 8" birthday cake with flowers. You are a RIP OFF! This store should not be in business for the way they treated and spoke to a potential new customer and I am sure many others. Whatever you do not go to this bakery as I am sure the way they treated my wife and I was not the first time this has happened. All three of the counter staff need a serious lesson in customer service! SKIP THIS PLACE! There are many other fine bakeries to choose from in the area.

Many moons ago when I worked for the Asbury Park Press I'd run here to bring a treat home to my parents or to a friend's house. We recently moved to the area and I love this is my go to, around the corner bakery. Everything is delicious from the cannoli to the cupcakes to the cookies and Kaiser Rolls. Staff is always helpful and friendly!
When you're at an event and you know it's a Pastry Chef cake when you taste enough over the years you recognize the quality and taste and realize no one comes close
