If you don’t want to be harrassed for walking into a restaurant to dine, don’t come to Woody’s.The only reason I’m giving a star for this review is because of our SECOND waiter of the night, Dan. Let me preface this review by saying I’ve worked in the restaurant business as a hostess and a waitress for 8 years. Let me also preface by saying that I know this recount will sound bizarre—trust me, it was the most bizarre experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We walked into Woody’s at 4:45 and asked for a table of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). The restaurant was empty. The hostess asked if we had a reservation and we said that we did not. My sister asked her (lightheartedly) if we needed a reservation and the waitress replies “I mean…..normally yeah.” Her tone was so extremely rude for no reason, we were shocked. I actually laughed because I was so uncomfortable, and my sister said “oh wow that was rude.” We stepped away from the hostess stand and waited for her to figure out the seating arrangement (again, it was empty). A party of 5 walked in after us with no reservation and the same hostess scoffs and says in front of everyone “Another party with no reservation.”At this point we were dumbfounded. While we’ve had bad service here and there, we’ve never experienced such aggressiveness from a hostess. She sat us at our table in the empty restaurant and my sister said to her “for future reference, there’s a way to speak to people.” The hostess ignored her and then sarcastically said, “enjoy!”Despite being extremely caught off guard by this, we were trying to make the most of the situation as we had just come from my 10 year old niece’s soccer game. Our FIRST server, Bri, came over and had an attitude as she took our drink orders. Our drinks were delivered by our SECOND server, who said he would be taking over for us. I believe his name was Dan and he was so kind. He was the only reason why we even considered staying. As this was all going on, the hostess is standing at the desk talking to anyone with ears about us. She was flailing and pointing at us saying that because we came in, Bri (our first server) couldn’t leave. Again, we were dumbfounded. It was undeniable that she was speaking about us.I had explained the situation to Dan and asked for a manager and he was extremely kind. Again, the hostess is still holding servers and other hostesses hostage at her stand, audibly talking about our table. Mind you, we have a 10 and 7 year old with us.When the manager came over, I explained the situation to him. He began weaponizing therapy talk, saying he was trying to understand the situation when the situation was very cut and dry at that point. The whole time I was speaking to the manager, the hostess was STILL throwing a fit in the background. We said that we had just gotten our drinks, did not want them, and wanted to leave. He said he needed to look at our bill to see what we ordered and we reiterated that we only had drinks, we barely touched them, and we wanted to leave. We felt that—because we were being harrassed by their hostess the entire time we were in the building—we should be able to walk out. Finally—after giving attitude to my dad who reasonably stated that we have not touched our drinks, we should not be charged—the manager told us we could leave whenever we liked. We all stood up and began to leave and then he started following us out, profusely apologizing. It was the most bizarre, uncomfortable dining experience we’ve ever had—all because of a hostess. She pretended to be on a phone call as we were walking out.I’ve never been harassed out of a restaurant before in my life, but this hostess created such a hostile environment we had no choice but to leave. The server, Dan, deescalated the situation significantly, but the fact that the manager was downplaying our experience as the hostess was actively flailing behind him was the most amazing display of gaslighting I’ve ever seen.

We have frequented Woody's for years. However, this experience was not as great as usual. To start our waitress seemed not to like us for some reason. Her demeaner with us was stoic while jovial with other tables. Secondly, they made changes to the menu that I don't care for, like the guacamole on the blackened chicken tacos. Just add Baja sauce. Also, the salad lack today's salad expectations. For one, the dressings are thick and processed. They need to be fresh prepared in house. Also, bring back the old recipe for the drunken clams. It was the best around and we've tried many. It's all there at Woody's for a nice casual meal. It just needs to be rejuvenated.

Frequent diners. Enjoy Woody's as our friendly local eatery with decent menu & cocktail options (& seasonal outdoor dining). One of our party was vegetarian on this occasion and, while not on the menu, our server was able to run off several alternative vegetarian options that suited him fine. Thanks Woody's - from the kitchen to the host desk, always a treat. Always great service.

Had reservations, still waited 20 minutes for table. Server to 10 minute to get to us, another 20 for bar drinks. 10 minutes to tell me they were out of the special I ordered. Entrees not warm. Just a hot, expensive mess. They literally missed in every front.

Corey our waitress was AWESOME! Great addition of non alcoholic bevs. Food was outstanding minus the corn dip...not enough flavor and rice in bowl was watery not sticky. Great family restaurant!

Doug was great. Food was great. Unfortunately I had a stomach problem shortly after leaving. I would return though and try a different entre. ?

This place. I tell ya. Everything was perfect. I orders the Lobster Roll. For $26 I was subconsciously praying it was worth it. And when I TELL YOU, yes LAWDDDD. First off let me break this down, the bread, is a huge thick slice of Texas Toast that’s split halfway through for the lobster filling. The lobster meat is fresh and pulled from an actual LOBSTER. How do I know?- because I found a couple pieces of the shell in the sammich. (Sammiches are better than sandwiches). Don’t let that discourage you. With seafood that is prepared from a fresh source, there will always be remnants of the actual animal in there somewhere. They serve it with chips. I believe they make the chips in the restaurant because they taste like homemade chips. Not “processed bagged chips”So, after the good azz sammich, the chips, and 2 ICE COLD Kona ipa ? drafts, I am full as a hungry lion in a gazelle reservation. I will be back soon.Special shout outs to Shannon(bartender)And Sasha(greeter) they were so nice, positive energy in their attitudes, warm, and welcoming. If this review convinced you to visit, let ‘em’ know “Shimmy’s Review” had it Lit.Enjoy and be good to yourself.Vegetarian options: Everything can be substituted and or left outDietary restrictions: Well, ask them to leave out what you don’t want. Easy fix??‍♂️Wheelchair accessibility: You literally can ROLL right in the front door. And there’s access parking as well

I always wanted to give this place a try( Today is the day ). They have outside seating for 50 - 60 people. The inside is really nice and could hold big groups.I ordered the blackened grouper ( excellent ? ? ) and the chipotle mash potatoes ( so good ? ). I also had an oat nog latte ( yummy yummy ? ). I'm so glad I stopped here to eat ( I highly recommend ?????).

Very disappointed in the Al Pastor tacos I ordered. You can always tell when someone loves to cook compared to when someone is just throwing things together. The corn tortillas were cold, the pulled pork was dry and flavorless, and if there was a sauce on there it wasn't doing anything to make the dish interesting. How difficult is it to make great pulled pork? Get it together Woody's. Restaurant food should be special. There was nothing special here. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to roll right in.
