We have gone here quite a few times before when Barbara was cooking and after the new crew took over. I think Barbara must have been a great instructor as the transfer of how to cook everything was flawless, everything is still the same. We get the pork cutlet a lot recently, to go because of Covid and we split it. The only thing that would be better is if the entrees came with a green vegetable. That's something amiss in most restaurants in the United States. Anyway go here and you won't be disappointed.

Just finished an absolutely fantastic meal. My mother in law had mentioned wanting to try the food here and tonight we decided to stop in for dinner. To say the food is delicious would be an understatement, this place really delivers on home cooked authentic dishes! If you're in the area and want something comforting stop by, you'll leave full and happy! We will definitely be back soon to try the rest!

Our Corvette Club of 18 enjoyed a great early dinner after returning from a Bucks County covered bridge tour. Barbara's is a family run, homestyle restaurant serving authentic Hungarian dishes. Everything our group ordered was excellent....goulash soup, stuffed cabbages, chicken, pork & beef paprika, chicken & pork cutlets plus much more. Prices are great & Hungarian members of our group said it was good as their mother's home cooking.

If you near Ewing NJ, make sure you stop by and visit Barbara’s Hungarian Restaurant. We just had a delicious dinner here, only 30 minutes from Flemington NJ Farmers Market. The food taste just like my grandma’s home cooked meal.
Even during the lack of staff this restaurant provided the best food in the area. The service and food are quite literally... extraordinary. The owner provided personal service, acts as the chef and never cheats on the quantity of food. An out-of-the-way restaurant having a personal touch. Can't wait to go back again and again. Been there close to 20 times. Love it.

Delicious food with the real taste of Hungary! We selected the pork roast with cubed fried potatoes (Brassói aprópecsenye), with a side of red cabbage and spätzle (small egg noodles). The portions are good sized and won't leave you hungry. Definitely a great place.

First time visiting since New owner's took over. Establishment is ONLY open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We waited So long to get waited on that I had to go ask them to take our order. They were busy doing a big to go order. I had to ask them to turn down the blaring radio! If anything, they should have Hungarian music playing!?? Food was Great So was the Service!
