The world just isn't listening! Tacos and Trenton are synonymous!!This is a female run restaurant. This is your abuelas', your tias' and hermanas' food, all in ine. This is food made by women who want you to miss your family. The warmth is there.The stars here are the flavors. They know what they're doing. I got the torta. The roll was delicious. Pillowy and fresh, it could stand up to the mountain of food on it. The sandwich itself was massive. Stuffed with chicken and all the toppings you can imagine.The nachos were gigantic, too. You get to choose your toppings. The el pastor is a treat.My love, though... the salsa Verde. So often, when you get it, it's bland. This! Had a great acid, and was lovely in terms of herbs. It has a perfect viscosity and brought together the dishes. It's making me smile as I write about it.If I had to pick with them... I don't think pickled jalapeños are the way to go (on the torta). But hey - that could just be a preference.

Tacos were really good. I plan on going back for sure.
I ordered ground beef nachos. Beef had absolutely no seasoning. Legit, they browned it & dumped it on top of the nachos. There was very little nacho cheese sauce so the nachos were exceedingly dry. The chips didnt taste that fresh, like they were sitting in a bag for days and someone just literally dumped them out. Dry, unseasoned and flavorless.

Loved it so much, I'm going back for more! Me and my family have planned it so that I'll be picking up dinner! My husband tasted my chicken mole ? and he's asked me to pick that up for him. My daughter is going to try tortas with chicken Milanese and jalapeño. I'm still on the fence as to what I'm going to get. But it won't disappoint, I'm sure.

I had to venture into the wilds of Trenton for this one, which was recommended by a coworker who claimed it is as authentic as it gets. And by the looks of this bodega turned taqueria, it seemed just that. She advised me to order something not seen on the menu, but I couldn't recall the name of it. So I went with standards of chicken tacos and an order of flautas. The flutes were good but not better than ones found in the burbs at various locations. I felt like the lettuce and queso Fresca needed more partners, like tomato, avocado, red onion etc. The tacos were better, slightly smaller version but came with 4! The chicken was seared on the plancha and chopped up, plenty of onion and cilantro. Very good tacos. A word of warning on the green sauce. In my experience that's usually more mild than the red sauce. Not here, it was muy authentico! The red sauce was pretty hot too. There was no language barrier on calling the order in or picking it up, and service was very friendly. I hope other area diners will try it and report back too.
