One of the best mediterranean I had, the grill meats are delicious, we had the supreme platter, gryo and spreads, they were all delicious. My favorite was the grill chicken and lamb. The gryo pita was light and thin, stuffed with meat and is served on a bed of fries, it was a great deal. The babagalish was my favorite spread.

Hands down the best food in the area! I’m half greek/half Italian, major foodie and since I moved to north Bergen I’ve been struggling to find food that is made with quality products. This is the 3rd time ordering from mel’s and I loved it so much I had to call the owner and thank him. I ordered the red lentil soup which was amazing!!!!! But also their chicken kebabs, salad and rice were so tasty and authentic. The chicken was fresh and tender, the rice was not generic, you could literally eat it on its own! ? food arrived very hot and clean. They separate the chicken, rice and salad so the flavors don’t get mixed up. Thank you again for bringing this healthy option to our community and I will continue to support this family owned establishment.

Delicious food and great service. This location used to be a breakfast cafe, so I was expecting a quick and good shawarma/pita kind of spot. I was thoroughly amazed at the quality of the food that came out of the kitchen. It is more than just a quick lunch spot. This restaurant has a level of service and food quality that could easily be fine dining. I will be with my family here a lot.

Delicious and not sure if it was the owner or not but soo kind!! I stopped in today during the snow storm for a to go menu because I love Mediterranean food and the owner, I believe offered me some chicken soup to try! Well, he brought me out an entire order to go with fresh pita and lemon for the soup on the house!! It was delicious, so fresh, pita so nice and warm! It was too late to call and thank you...but if you are reading this, thank you so much, so kind of you, and it was perfect for a day like this! Definitly will return and already told family n friends about you!! Delicious, fresh food, made with love! Thank you so much! I wish you continued success!!! Cant wait to go back!

I randomly came across this new Mediterranean place with phenomenal food just now! I ordered veggie burger, falafel wrap, lebni and chicken soup for a very reasonable price. Last time I tried veggie burger this good was three years ago at Bluestone cafe in Prospect Park in Brooklyn! I can’t believe I finally found my new go to place besides Robongi. Highly recommend!
Very delicious Burger and turkish plates, I recomend this restaurant for a unique experience of fresh, and outstanding food.

We have been in there 4 times, so far, since it opened, and the food is outstanding. The owner goes out of his way to give you the best dining experience. He has great food and the quality is excellent. We give it a 5-star every time we go. He never disappoints. The owner comes out from the kitchen and always chats with us. So far, the hummus, kofte, the vegetarian platter, fig leaves, Sheppard's salad, rice pudding, tiramisu, baklava, cheesecake, falafel, breads, and dips have all been outstanding. We keep coming back for more. Thank you to the owner! Much success and we hope you have a long-lasting business.
