I’ve only visited Abuja twice for take out, specifically jollof rice and goat. Let me tell you, I love goat meat and “Abuja” gets it. The food has a perfect balance of African spices and texture. I find the atmosphere perfect for watching sports and/or a casual drinking, so im looking forward to making time to actually go back and enjoy the full dining experience. I took the liberty of taking some pics on my last visit. Just me being me. ?

They should put a hand rail on the main entrance(red door). Took my mom there on Sunday 4/14/24. Steps are so high. No hand rail. My mom fell going down the steps and ended up on the side walk. I went back in and told the waiter who served me the food. He said sorry, but I am nlt sure if he told any of his managers. I asked for manager or owner he ignore my request and walked outside with me so I can show him where and how it happened. I feel so guilty about taking my mom there, I've been losing sleep over it.

Nice place to wine and dine, more especially for young people.

I ate at this restaurant on March 28. My second time there. Food is good, ambiance and service is good as well. But.... Someone stole my credit card info this time. On April 12 a charge was made for $137.44. Me giving the benefit of the doubt, I checked to see if my charge from March 28 had gone through. It in fact had and was for a completely different amount. I tried reaching out to the restaurant to rectify this but was immediately shut down by whoever answered the phone. In an abrupt tone they told me they "didn't know who I was" and would not discuss this matter over the phone, only in person. This restaurant is about an hour from me. I was not driving there. Since the employee didn't want to help, I took it up with my bank and filed a fraud claim. While the transaction is still pending, I see on Monday morning whoever used the card gave themselves a nice fat $50 tip and now my card is being charged $187.44. This is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Thieves!!!!! I called to order 3 plates of jollof rice and goat meat, and went there to pick it up. These CROOKS force a 15% gratuity on a pick up. Who does that???

A-Z Experience. The worst food experience! Was craving Goat Pepper Meat and Yam Porridge so bad.Went on line and looked up, they had these things.Website: Not so user friendly. You cannot update quantity in cart. No confirmation that order has gone through.Arrived an hour later for pick up and called from parking lot across: Was automatically informed that the order did not go through, and she would put it in for me. 30 seconds later, during the same conversation, she had checked and yes, my order was there and ready for pick up.Also ordered beef and jollof rice.Food:1. Goat Pepper Soup WITHOUT PEPPER! Have you ever heard of that? I thought that because I met a delivery guy at the parking lot with boxes of pepper, they had possibly run out, but they should have said something! What is goat pepper soup WITHOUT pepper? I fried peppers and added my goat and ate it. It became palatable.2. Beef: I opened, and it appeared to have been soaked in boiled whitish tripe water. The tripe may not have been washed well as it had smell of cow dung. Within minutes, everyone in the house asked why the house smelled like dirty diapers and we did not have a child. I still pulled out a piece and tried. It had PEPPER, but that was all. I gagged at the cow poop smell on it and that was the end.3. Jollof Rice - ever tried OLD dry chinese fried rice? Old dry chinese fried rice is yummy compared to the stale jolof rice I received. Was mid-day too early that they had to send me away with last night's or days before jolof rice? It was old, nasty.4. Porridge - if you do not know what porridge looked like, you would just take the chunks of yam and greens thrown all over - also not seasoned and just eat, you would just assume that this is the worst invention with yams. and never try again. But if you had tried before, you know when food just tastes bad.IT WAS ALSO PRICEY. Unless this is the only food that can save your life - go elsewhere.

The food was actually pretty good. But kind of spicy to say the least. Not to mention the almost two hour long wait for the food. Great atmosphere.

Abuja, an African cuisine restaurant, delivers a culinary journey that is truly worth the wait. The vibrant flavors and authentic dishes make it a standout choice for those seeking a taste of Africa. However, be prepared for potential delays as the wait for takeout can exceed an hour. To maximize your experience, it’s advisable to order ahead and savor the exceptional flavors without the lengthy wait. Despite the potential wait time, Abuja’s delicious and culturally rich offerings make it a must-try for anyone craving an authentic African dining experience.Vegetarian options: All dishes can be made without the addition of meat

I experienced this restaurant two weeks ago and totally enjoyed myself. The energy was great, the people were so upbeat. The food and drinks were delish. The owner was so engaging, the staff professional and engaging. Went and enjoyed karaoke, hosted by Faz. Good clean adult fun. Come & experience it for yourself. You really won’t be disappointed.

y’all need to just close your business down already if you don’t know how to cook. How can I order pepper soup and I’m getting fish broth with no spice or season, this is ridiculous at this point if you can’t cook please take the food off the menu and go learn !!!

The food was great. I recommend everything I ate: the Goat pepper soup, the whole snapper, jollof rice, and egusi with pounded yam. I didn't realize this place was also a nightclub. I really like the ambience. It's a great place for a date.
