I have visited El Lechon de Negron many times and have never been disappointed. They have authentic Puerto Rican food. They always have e a good fresh selection of classics, such as White Rice and beans, Arroz con Gandules (rice with pigeon peas), juicy pork chops, stewed chicken and pasteles ( Puerto Rican tamales). They offer many other staples as well as empanadas ( patties - chicken or beef) and Alcapurias (taro root and beef fritters). On my recent visit I had the stewed chicken with arroz con gangules and it did not disappoint! It was plentiful and tasty. The service was swift and the staff was attentive. Consistently good - WEPA !

AMAZING!!! This was a fabulous hidden gem. The pernil was absolutely perfect. The rice, mofongo, maduros and breaded steak couldn't have been better. Finally I have struck gold in Puerto Rican cuisine in NJ. You will not be disappointed!!

The Puertorican food here is authentic and so delicious! It is not easy to find this type of food in the area. The vanilla tres leche is a must! Reasonably priced, and the service was good. The only thing I would change is to have more seating, but the place isn't huge, so it's understandable.
