I ate my sub before I could take a picture. Clean! Friendly!

This review is more about the birthday rewards on the app, I generally love Firehouse Subs and the employees in Union were pleasant. I got the app on my birthday and got my free offer, good for one week. We went on the last day which was Labor Day and they were closed so I lost out on my offer. This was then my wife's birthday week and we went back on the next Sat. They said they would not honor any birthday offer unless it was on the actual birthday despite our e-mails and app offers saying they were good for one week. We considered walking out instead of placing a $50+ dinner order for 4, they were out of my wife's favorite brisket, 2 people didn't get pickles, didn't have any Rice Krispies Treats for the kids meal either and they misheard an order of a large combo so got home to find out it was only a medium combo. We should have just walked out.

Asked for Mayo and they made fun of me… ended up not putting it on my order as well

Friendly and patient. Food was really good. Must go!

Your standard Firehouse Subs. Definitely order ahead of time for pickup unless you want to wait forever in the store.

Would have given 5 stars had my food been served at an appropriate time! Although there was a rush, my food was the only food they forgot to make during the rush and I’m a mom who was waiting to feed her hungry baby let alone have a medical condition that makes me hungry! Of course just my luck that they forgot mine, not saying others don’t matter but any parent reading this gets what I’m saying. Would have given 3 stars but then right before I was about to leave I realized they forgot my side pickles!! Forgetful x 2! Not enough spicy j*** seasoning on the j*** turkey sandwich too. It tasted more like thanksgiving turkey than j*** turkey

It’s good but don’t take the T-Mobile coupon.Edit: they apologized and reached out to me. Added one star back.

They have gluten free bread to make a sandwich. Their food is tastefully good.

There is plenty of parking, not lot of tables to seat at. I order two sandwiches and it took ever long time. If your in rush I would have to say this not the place to go then. The Sandwiches were very good!

Been there twice and neither times did we like it. I think they are trying too hard to be a different kind of sub place that they ended up with bad combinations. Shockingly they don't offer american cheese at all. Prices are high and you don't get any value. The sandwiches arent packed or full of meats and cheeses. Everything seems to come with mayo, mustard, l and vinegar. Sorry but who wants all that? We have now tried the meatball parm... Not good. The Italian which is the worst italian I have had at a chain sub shop. Can't believe I'm going to say this but even subway has a better italian sandwich. Cheesesteak was below average. Not a lot of flavor and no american cheese so I had to get provolone. The only sandwich that was decent and actually filled the bread was the tuna. Overall not a place we will go back to. So many better options like Jersey Mike's or almost any mom and pop places like Mr Sub.

I would give them at least four stars, but they had a handwritten sign on the front door stating they do not honor the T-Mobile “free medium sub” promotion. When asked, the staff member there said that “we were cleaned out” the first day of the promo.I can TOTALLY understand a small business being overwhelmed with giving away free food, but they might have lost out of some new customers that otherwise would have defaulted to Subways, Blimpies and Jersey Mike’s.

I been a fan of firehouse subs since I was living in SC 10 years ago. So I was excited when I heard one was coming to union NJ. It’s the same great taste. I see the negative comments are because people didn’t get a free sub!! Smh.
