Nastiest soul food I ever ate in my life and waste of almost $100!! from the side to the main meal, the garlic mash has no flavor tastes 100% garlicky, the Mac cheese has no flavor I almost threw up, the turkey wings was undercooked no flavor, the meatloaf is so horrible and the lemonade drinks taste like sewer water and suger No lemon. OMG normally I don’t even do reviews but I will never spend a dime here again.

First time at H&S today. The meatloaf was so tender and flavorful. The mac, was exactly what I was expecting. I took an order to go, of wings with cabbage. Oh my! They too, were sooo good. I will most definitely be back. I made sure to take a piece of cornbread to go. The one I had with lunch, just wasn't enough. I could eat a whole tray of that cornbread. I highly recommend. It seem like they have more take of take out traffic but they have plenty of tables, to sit and eat in.

The service was horrible sat at the table and waited for 15min nobody came and said anything. I spoke to a female that said she was the owner and she was not bothered by our frustration she stated she was busy. I get very annoyed when you support business and they dismiss all your concerns. I will not be going back also I have had better food but the service was so bad I couldn’t even enjoy it.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to order from. I order at least 3 or 4 times a month, if I lived closer I'd eat there even more. Everything I get is always good and their chicken wings are the best around.
Food was "Picasso" a Masterpiece... I had the catfish with the cabbage and you can't go to any Soul food spot and not do Mac and Cheese Mac and Cheese was well balanced not too much great... The catfish was well seasoned and everything was so good I went back today with a guess from out of Town who had the smothered with the Biscuit ,I had the grits with scrambled eggs and cheese AGAIN I had the catfish it had the same consistency.. which is great.. My desire for this Black owned establishment is to stay true to the root of your food often what happens is that businesses get great insight and reviews and then a year or two years in everything changes with the taste which I've seen too much .. Please stay True to what's making you who you are ,business will start booming the. We will see what happens when the feet hit the fire ? as of right now atmosphere food customer service very own point ?

I went here for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised at the quaint atmosphere. Very decent place for a first date or lunch meet. I got the Catfish nuggets (which was very good), baked mac&cheese (also very good) and candied yams...GOOD! The only thing I thought was weird was the cornbread appeared to be coffee cake as it had coffee crumbs on top of it. I definitely suggest you go check this place out as the soul food is very good!
