Spectacular experience all around. The owner was very good at what he does. Great bagel and great lox. The ambiance is what you want. It is not how it looks but how it feels. It feels authentic. We were stuck in the area and really were glad we found this shop because they helped us decide what to do for the rest of the day until our late flight. The delivery person was a fun, retired person who started working there a year or so back and was also salt of the earth. He ended up giving my wife and I a ride to the second stop of our day in Newark. They told us about the Portuguese area and they were right. Great food and shopping. Thanks again and we had a fantastic lunch there and will try to make it back sometime in our life if in/or around Newark!

Prices are absolutely ridiculous. I could have literally taken the RR to NYC to get a real bagel, and it would have been cheaper. This place is on my block and would neverngo back. I drive into Maplewood and get normal prices.Do better people, its shameful.

Bagel place located on Rt. 22 East in Union. Stopped by after going to the range up the road and the bagel was very good.I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and got a hot tea from the tea and coffee self serve. Bagel was a usual New Jersey bagel which means it was very good. Good crust and nice and soft inside.Small seating area in front which was very clean. Service was pleasant and the bagel came out fast. Place was pretty busy which is always a good sign. I would definitely stop back here again if I was in the area.

OMG, This was the best experience. Ordered breakfast for the office and clients. Food arrived hot and orders were correct and a few extras just in case.Just found our regular breakfast spot. Good portion size and great prices! We will definitely be using you again and again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Rude.....first timer came in to order and was left standing there receiving zero service.....the cashier stood there and had a conversation with a man about nothing.....never acknowledged my presence! Mind you I was wearing a HIGH VISIBILITY vest. No one.....not the cashier, the cook, or the delivery guy spoke a single word! I left.....you don't get my money acting like that!

Amazing food. Love their veggie omlette. And all their bagels. Fresh and fantastic. Coffee is good too.. ask them for super toasted bagels ! They have varieties of cream cheeses. My fav is jalapeño cream cheese love it . They also have hashbrowns and bagels . Priced good . Very nice and quick service .... Lots and lots of parking outside . My go to place for morning coffee and breakfast ... thumbs up changed my review to 5/5

Amazing!! I usually order from Ciao near my job but they’re so overpriced for low quality food. NYC Bagels was delicious and looked like it was prepared with care and they’re well priced! You have new customers over at Planet! Thank you!!

As someone who lived in NYC for 20 years and loves bagels, it was very hard to move out. The bagels were just not the same in NJ. I went into this place a little skeptical of what the name promised. I can tell you the name is true to its word. The bagels are awesome. It reminds me of my old neighborhood bagel shop Essa Bagels on First Avenue. The bagels are a cut above anything else you will find in the area and truly on par with NYC's top bagel shops. BRAVO!

I have been a faithful customer. Today I'm embarassed by the quality I received. Then to hve to argue and the owner not attempt to correct the issue. U may not care about losing a repeated customer but some customers may appreciate an honest opinion on how you handle your customers.
